Hi parents! I’m Imari—a creative, calm, and joyful presence based in Rogers Park. I’m a mom to the sweetest toddler and a longtime caregiver with a deep love for little ones and all the beautiful and chaotic moments that come with raising them. I began my career in New York, working in creative advertising in fashion, before stepping away from the industry to pursue passion projects that reconnected me to my roots in Belize. Four years ago, love brought me to Chicago, where I’ve built a new chapter with my little family and embraced a life centered on caregiving and creativity. I have experience with children of all ages, from newborns to preteens, and I’m well-versed in feeding routines, naps, school transitions, bedtime wind-downs, and all the small moments in between that make a big difference. I show up with patience, creativity, and a deep sense of care (and usually a few art projects or songs in my back pocket!). Hi! I’m Katie, a 23 year old artist with a BFA in Fashion Design from Parsons in NYC. I recently moved back home to the Tri-Valley and am looking for babysitting roles during this transitional period of my life. I’ve been around children in my community my whole life, taken child development/psychology courses in school (high school and college-level), have worked at a gym daycare for 1 year, and babysat in NYC— so you’re in good hands! A little bit about my childcare philosophy: I am passionate about holistic wellbeing and learning through creativity/activity. I see childcare as a two-way relationship that prioritizes the child’s unique development. I also learn so much by being around children! I’m extremely reliable, honest, and communicative, and will ensure that the parent’s wishes are met, and, of course, the safety of your child. I’m great at engaging children in active play and crafts, if that’s something you would like. I am comfortable cooking/preparing snacks for your child as needed and going through bedtime routines. Hello my name is Hailey, I am 20 years old and a senior at the Parsons School of Design pursuing a BFA. I am currently employed as a camp counselor for ages 6-16 at Camp Fitch YMCA. My intention is to use my degree to be an elementary school art teacher. I am looking for more experience with kids, I love kids and doing arts and crafts and playing outside with them. I also love all animals and have been taking care of them and surrounded by them my entire life!

Hi! My name is Luca (he/they), and I’m a Parsons graduate with a BFA in Product Design. I have always loved working with kids/young people, and have worked at summer camps, as a babysitter (and pet sitter), at after-school care, and have my own experience with younger family members. I am interested in art and making and am comfortable helping kids with elementary and low-level high school homework. I am willing to do chores and complete errands, and though I don’t have a car - I do have a license and experience driving in the city. I can cook and clean, and I love all animals. I hold a graduate degree in art history and, during the week, work full time as the director and curator of a small art museum. I value children’s natural curiosity and bring a patient, creative, friendly, and steady approach to childcare. I am comfortable caring for one to two children at a time to ensure focused attention and personalized care. I enjoy engaging children with crafts, board games, puzzles, books, and general creative play. I prioritize open communication with parents, and I'm very comfortable upholding household rules. Hello There, I'm Shanya. I'm originally from Boston, MA. and went to college in New York city, where I lived for about 15 years. I've been in LA for the past 3 years and I run a freelance design business from home. In addition to my design business, I spend a lot of my free time working several passions art projects. Some of the things that I'm passionate about include sustainability, creative experimentation and arts education as a means for personal development and discovery. I love teaching art to people of all ages. Some of my past project include; 1) developing a maker market / craft fair in Portland, Oregon that supported the local maker community while teaching craft skills to children and adults, and 2) working as an art workshop instructor for a off Broadway theatre company, where I lead children in works that were later used as set decorations. For example during a production of the Little Mermaid the children made sea creatures that were used to decorate the stage during the live show. If your kids are into arts and crafts, I would love to work on something fun with them!

Hi there! I’m Rose and I’m currently a FT teacher. A little about me: I am a cat mom of 2 adorable babies, born and raised in Los Angeles. I am a fluent English & Korean speaker and conversational in Spanish. I’ve helped run our daycare business with my mother for the past 15+ years in the heart of LA. I completed my undergrad at Parsons in NYC. While studying, I had numerous babysitting/teaching gigs. I’ve taken ECE courses at UCLA extension. I am currently in the process of obtaining my Child Development teachers permit. I am also a private tutor specializing in bilingual education and art. I have some experience with special needs children, more specifically autism and ADHD. My senses are sharp and reflexes quick. My background in art and design inspires me to find creative ways to teach and interact with children. I love children’s curious nature to never stop learning and strive to be like them in this way. I look forward to helping out with your little one/s!

Hi! I’m Sofia (go by Sofie), i’m 21 years old from Chicago and currently a student at Parsons School of Design. Looking to help out in any way (babysitting, household chores, running errands, petsitting etc) in my spare time between classes and weekends. I’ve been a mandated reporter, CPR/AED and first aid certified since 2022, prior to college I worked at a front desk across from a child care center and loved greeting/interacting with the kids coming in :) Growing up I babysat my little cousins, along with a variety of pets (mainly dogs but i’m comfortable and have knowledge on a variety of animals!). I’m fully vaccinated and in East Village! Also I absolutely LOVE deep cleaning + organizing <3 (cannot bring own supplies).
