Meet college nannies and sitters from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota

In short: I sincerely love working with kids professionally and am excited to work with families while in grad school. I have four years experience working in youth mental health, in school programs, clinical settings, and after-school services. I can handle just about any situation that may arise- I am Adult and Pediatric CPR certified, received EMT-B training in 2015, and have worked professionally with youth aged 8-20. I work with kids because I truly love it- the joy, curiosity, and growth of spending time with children and adolescents is like no other. I am pursuing a Master's degree in Marriage & Family Therapy at Saint Mary's- towards a goal of licensed, trauma-informed therapy with youth and their families. I have also been babysitting and nannying on-and-off for 15 years, for families with children aged 0-12. I have three younger siblings and certainly got plenty of formative experience there, strengthened by working for neighbors and family friends over the years. I also have experience with dogs, cats, reptiles, and fish of all shapes, sizes, and energy needs!

Hello!! I retired early after 38 years of teaching. I received Elementary Education as well special education degrees from Luther College in Decorah, IA. I later received my Early Child Special Education degree from Mankato State University and my Graduate Degree from St Mary's University. I am presently driving two hours to care for my 2 year old granddaughter in Hopkins, Mn. I typically watch her two weeks each month, and rotate with a couple others. My schedule varies. I typically do not watch her on Tuesdays or weekends. She truly has been a blessing in our lives. I'm not sure that my schedule will accommodate your needs but thought l'd reach out just in case you need a backup or part-time. Thank you, Barb
