Hello! My name is Issalina and I am a third year student at San Diego State University. I am from the Bay Area and have been babysitting for seven years, along with pet sitting. I enjoy being around kids and helping out in any way I can to ensure they are having a great time while I’m with them! My most recent job at home was working at a community pool where I worked at the front desk and was surrounded by kids and families. I am a very nurturing, confident, and friendly person to be around. I’d love to meet you!
Hi families! I’m Sienna, and I grew up in San Francisco and am a 2nd year at San Diego State University. I've been caring for kids and pets for about six years now. I started out babysitting my neighbors’ little ones when they were tiny toddlers—now the boy is 8 and the girl is 4, and watching them grow has honestly been the sweetest part of the job. I’m patient, playful, and creative, and I always make sure kids feel safe, happy, and supported—whether we’re powering through homework, building forts, or just hanging out and being silly. I also have plenty of experience cat sitting and dog sitting. ’m dependable, respectful, and super easy to get along with, and I take pride in being someone families can count on. I’m brand new to UrbanSitter, which is why you won’t see reviews on my profile yet—but I do have references who can vouch for me. Feel free to ask, and I’ll gladly share their phone numbers! Caring for kids and pets never feels like “work” to me—it’s something I genuinely enjoy, and I’d love the chance to bring that energy to your family.
I am a compassionate and dependable caregiver with extensive experience supporting children, and pets. Over the years, I have helped families with childcare, and pet care, always focusing on creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. With children, I bring patience, creativity, and consistency, helping with daily routines, homework, and activities that keep them engaged and learning. In addition to direct care, I am highly organized and detail-oriented, assisting with household needs, errands, and keeping things running smoothly. Families describe me as reliable, trustworthy, and warm-hearted, with a natural ability to connect and bring calm to any situation. My goal is always to provide peace of mind while ensuring your loved ones feel valued, safe, and cared for every day.
Hello families, thank you for taking the time to read this! My name is Valerie and I'm a proud mom to my 21 yr old son, my 18 yr old son, and my 15 yr old daughter. With more than two decades raising my three children in Cardiff & Encinitas and managing our busy household of five (seven, counting our pups!), I'm deeply grateful to be able to continue to devote myself to the care and well-being of children and their families. I loved that our home was often the place where my children and their friends chose to play, hangout, or work on school projects together. I'm equally happy and comfortable getting the chance to spend time rocking and soothing your newborn at 2am, sitting on the floor next to your children playing their favorite games, helping with their homework, teaching them how to bake or how to make homemade play-dough, as I am taking them to the beach, to the park, having an impromptu dance party, or being able to drive a carload of children to and from school and their activities, and even hosting your child's birthday party along with 20 of their guests. My priority is always to make sure your children are and feel safe and supported. Even in stressful situations, I am calm and patient, meeting each child where they are in that moment. I am dependable, emotionally mature, and have a high level of energy and the ability to adapt easily to changes. I value clear and open communication. In addition to my years caring for my own children, I bring with me over 40 yrs of experience caring for other families' children, beginning in my early teens babysitting for families in University City. While earning my BA in Psychology at SDSU, I worked for a busy family daycare and as a part-time nanny. I have a social work background working with young adults with developmental disabilities and I have extensive experience supporting (and raising) neurodiverse children. I also volunteered weekly for many years in each of my children's classrooms, from preschool through 6th grade, gaining classroom experience supporting both students and teachers. I understand the trust it takes to allow someone else to care for your child and the importance of finding the right match to fit your family. I look forward to having the opportunity to meet you and your family and finding out how I can best support you!
Hello, my name is Chloe and I am a third year student at San Diego State University! I am a Elementary Education major and have completed multiple hours of volunteering/observing in classrooms here in San Diego. I enjoy being around kids and am excited to make teaching my future! I was a babysitter for two-four children ages ranging from 3-7 years old when I was in high school and grew up with two younger sisters where I learned a lot about how to take care of children! I enjoy playing, doing crafts, cooking/baking, reading, and much more things with kids. Since I am learning how to become a teacher I have experience in teaching math, reading, and science so I can help with homework needs. I love dogs so much and I have a chocolate lab at home so am okay with taking care of large dogs as well as smaller dogs. I have experience in walking, playing with, and feeding dogs and shedding doesn't bother me. I would like to use my experience in baby-sitting to better my future as a teacher and would enjoy spending time with children of all ages!
Hi! I am Kiki. I grew up near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and moved to San Diego for school 3 years ago. I will be a senior at San Diego State University. I have been babysitting since I was 16. I have babysat newborns, infants, toddlers, and kids. My responsibilities have included driving them to and from school and sports, making dinner, playing with the kids, and cleaning the house.
Hi families! I truly enjoy helping and caring for others. I come from a big family, so I’ve always been surrounded by kids and have plenty of hands on experience with little ones of all ages. Over the years, I’ve also helped care for relatives, which taught me patience, responsibility, and how to provide support with kindness and respect and I bring strong communication skills, a dependable work ethic, and a natural ability to connect with people. Families and friends describe me as caring, reliable, and quick to learn new routines. Beyond childcare, I’m also comfortable assisting with seniors, pets, and household tasks like light cleaning, meal prep, or errands. My goal is always to create a safe, positive, and supportive environment, whether that means keeping kids engaged with fun activities, making sure a pet feels loved, or helping a household run smoothly. I would love the opportunity to support your family and bring care, energy, and reliability to your home.
I'm a 25-year-old sdsu biology graduate and the oldest of five siblings, so caring for others has always been a huge part of who I am. I started babysitting when I was 15 and have experience caring for children of different ages. I love helping with homework, playing games, doing crafts, spending time outdoors, and creating an environment where kids feel safe, supported, and encouraged to be themselves. I've also been volunteering since high school, which has taught me patience, empathy, and how meaningful it is to make a positive impact on someone's life. My friends would describe me as kind, responsible, energetic, and easy to get along with. One of the reasons I'm so excited about caregiving is because I genuinely love being around kids. My family doesn't live in San Diego, and as the oldest sibling, I really miss having children around me every day. I miss the laughter, the chaos, and the little moments that make being part of a big family so special. Being around kids brings me so much joy, and I love helping them learn, grow, and feel confident. I'm also a huge animal lover and have grown up with pets my entire life. Taking care of animals has taught me responsibility and patience from a young age, and I would be more than happy to help care for pets as part of my role. Whether it's walking dogs, playing with them, or helping with feeding and daily routines, I truly enjoy having animals around and consider them part of the family. Overall, I hope to be more than just a caregiver—I want to be someone your family can trust and rely on while creating a positive and caring environment for both your children and pets.
Hi! My name is Daisy, and I have several years of experience caring for children of different ages. I strive to create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where children can learn, play, and feel supported. I enjoy planning age-appropriate activities, helping with homework, and keeping daily routines organized. I’m patient, dependable, and bilingual in English and Spanish, which allows me to communicate with a wide range of families. I’m currently a college student studying Political Science, and I bring strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills to every family I work with. I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your children, and I take that responsibility seriously. My goal is to give parents peace of mind while ensuring their children feel happy, cared for, and encouraged every day. I look forward to becoming a positive and reliable part of your family’s routine!
