Aloha! Children are a passion of mine. I find their curiosity and ability to live in the moment very amusing. Though I have none of my own yet.. I have several nieces, nephews, and god-children that I adore. I was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where adventuring in nature was the way of life. After high school graduation I drove across the country to land in Santa Barbara, California to attend college. There I worked as a business manager for a Sailing Cruise operation, where I met my fiancé. In 2016 we left SB to manage luxury yachts as a Captain/Stew couple and traveled the world. In March 2022 we left the yachting industry to be land based and settle down here on Kauai and we love it! My childcare background starts at a young age where my mom owned a Day Care center next to our grade school. I would help with various tasks and had a natural ability for caregiving. In middle school I’d assist my mom with a summer youth program for kids with disabilities. In high school I was a tutor. And in Santa Barbara I was a nanny for a child from 7 months old to 8 years old. I love teaching and sharing knowledge with others. I’m professional yet personable and can help in several ways. I am a mother and a grandmother. I raised my three children with love, devotion, a sense of humor, surrounded by grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. They are all well adjusted adults. I have also been a caregiver/babysitter for two of my four grandchildren as a regular job, on Bainbridge Island and have taken care of all my grandchildren throughout their lives on many different occasions. I have also been a caregiver for the elderly for the past 6 years for a company that just closed its doors, unfortunately. I have two cats and have had cats all my life.
