Hello, my name is Jade and I work as a consulting environmental scientist in Portland, Oregon. I grew up in Seattle and have worked as a babysitter in Seattle and The Bay Area. I have been caring for children on and off since I was a teenager, worked as a nanny and lifeguard through college, then later as an environmental educator and volunteer coordinator, and have maintained CPR/First Aid certification. I've worked as a "date night" sitter, as a nanny where my daily responsibilities included walking older children to school and caring for toddlers or infants during the work day, with parents either also working in the home or running errands, and as a to and from school driver. Most recently I nannied regularly for a family in Olympia, WA with a 10 month old and a 4 year old several days a week. On occasion I will work with a nonprofit when they need childcare service for an event. I've worked with children aged 2 mos through 14 years of age, with the eldest being uniquely abled (Downs) and requiring additional support with homework and developing life skills. I enjoy exploring nature with children, taking kids on walks and day-trips, dancing, making art, building forts, playing games, helping kids practice responsibility and awareness of self and others, and supporting kids to think both creatively and critically. I honestly appreciate how kids can be both serious and imaginative, opinionated yet adaptable, and enjoy spending time with them and having fun! I am capable of assisting with any homework or research necessary for school, with my greatest strengths in Language Art, the study of Languages (Spanish, French), Arts, Sciences, and then Maths up to Advanced Algebra and Statistics. I have extracurricular experience in swimming, soccer, ultimate frisbee, dance, journalism, photography, graphic design, choir, and horseback riding, as well as gardening and permaculture. If you think we might be a good fit, please don't hesitate to reach out and ask any questions you may have.

Hi! I'm Isabel :) I'm a mental health therapist living in South Philly, a former preschool teacher of 9 years, along with many years of babysitting & nannying experience. In 2025, I graduated from UPenn with my Masters in Social Work. I prioritize kindness, warmth, and attunement in my interactions with children. I like working with kids because they remind me to stay present, have fun, and see the wonder of life through their eyes! I'm looking for a job that is seeking occasional "date-night" babysitting for any number of children of any age. In my spare time, I like to read, make art, listen to music, and spend time with friends.
Hello, I’m Hanna! I bring a unique blend of strategic thinking and playful creativity to my caregiving approach. Whether it's engaging in imaginative play with children, providing companionship for seniors, or supporting individuals with unique needs, I approach each relationship with curiosity, creativity, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of those I care for. While my career has primarily been in corporate consulting and communications (Microsoft, Oracle, Zillow), I recently moved to Chicago to help raise my two nephews (1 and 3 years old) and pursue my passion for writing biographies of elders. Trained in Design Thinking innovation, I’m a skilled communicator and creative problem solver who tackles challenges with a roll-up-my-sleeves attitude. I also volunteer for a nonprofit called My Life, My Story, where I interview and author biographies of Veterans. I believe in respecting and learning from individuals of all ages, and strive to create meaningful connections in all my caregiving interactions. I’m trustworthy, reliable and compassionate, and committed to providing the highest level of care for your loved ones.
I bring over a decade of experience in healthcare and public safety—ranging from hospital settings to transit systems—where I’ve always prioritized community care. I’ve been a head coach for a women’s rugby team, a coach for Washington Special Olympics, and a certified personal trainer. I also hold an expired CNA license and continue to bring that same level of care to everything I do. When I’m not working I’m behind the camera as a freelance photographer. Above all else, I promise to bring safety, reliability, and compassion when caring for your loved ones. Let’s chat and see how I can support your family!
I'm a nurturing mom of 4 kids. I have a passion for fostering children's growth and development. With 17 years of experience and a college degree in early childhood education, I have the knowledge and skills to provide a safe and enriching environment for your child. My patient, calm, and energetic personality allows me to engage children in various activities that promote learning and fun. I recently closed my home daycare of 14 years. I’m looking for a family who would be comfortable with me bringing my 3 year old daughter with me. She is sweet and kind, and plays very well with others. I’m CPR and First Aid certified and have completed coursework in early child development. My skills extend beyond childcare, and I'm happy to assist with cooking, meal preparation, carpooling, light housekeeping, and travel. I'm committed to providing reliable and supportive care for your family. I also do not smoke and I love pets if you have any. I can provide raving references on my behalf, pass a background check and a drug test. I am flexible on my rate, and eager to find the right family to work with.
Hi! My name is Sally and I love children & pets and serving parents’ needs for care, transporting, light cooking, cleaning, as well as errand-running when needed. I have operated my own loving and successful licensed childcare when my own children were young. I have worked both professional and labor jobs in my community. I approach my work with a positive attitude and its important to me that each child feels safe and know that they are loved, unique, capable, and important. I respect boundaries & apply a Safety-First mindset. Besides raising my own 2 children who are now grown, I have extensive experience as a co-leader of a Kids Club program that served inner-city children & youth in South Seattle. I also have some special needs experience both before and after having my own children. Additionally, I have life-long experience caring for large & small dogs and a variety of cats of my own and others, including hamsters, a lizard and a turtle. Others’ dogs and cats seem to really love me, so it’s mutual😊🐶🐈⬛. I also have a masters degree in public administration, have worked for years doing social work throughout Thurston, Pierce and Mason counties and I have worked various labor jobs from food & auto parts delivery to pulling fenceboards at a sawmill. I bring a positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic. I have received more trainings than i can list here, including first aid & CPR and mental health first aid. I support movement/exercise & can share about nutrition of foods in a positive, encouraging way. I am also quite capable with household odd jobs and I own my home, doing most updating work myself. I may be higher on the hourly rate chart, but I am more than worth it. I am open to negotiation as well & i give a slight discount to single moms & families in hardship situations. Most importantly, I am engaging with each child according to their personality and comfort. I consistently support parents’ expectations of their child(ren), and am ALWAYS honest, trustworthy and transparent. I am genuine & flexible. I am excited to meet you, your child(ren) & any pet family members too! Last, but not least, i wash my hands upon entry each time and practice careful food handling and prevention of spreading germs, etc. I am so rarely sick and have no allergies, so you never have to second guess about whether or not I am well and i have no problem caring for sick children when parent(s) absolutely must be at work.
