Hi! My name is Shimaine, but you can call me Shi (pronounced like “shy”). I’m a loving, fun, and patient caregiver with over 10 years of experience working with people of all ages. My journey started in middle school and high school, babysitting for families in my community. During undergrad, I worked for an on-call nanny agency, gaining even more hands-on experience with children of all ages. I later worked as a CNA and direct care provider, assisting individuals with daily living tasks, light housekeeping, and meal prep. When it comes to kids, I’m all about keeping them entertained and engaged. Whether it’s playing games, doing crafts, or coming up with creative ways to make daily routines more fun. I understand that every child is different, and I know how to connect with them on their level. Currently, I’m a Registered Behavior Technician and working toward my Behavior Analyst certification, so I have plenty of experience with structure, positive reinforcement, and making learning fun. As a dog owner, I’m comfortable with pets and happy to help in pet-friendly homes. I have a reliable vehicle, CPR certification, and a strong commitment to making life easier for families. Looking forward to helping out however I can!

*at this time I am not accepting new families but will update if that changes!* Hi there, my name is Eva and I am 27 years old. I first graduated from college in 2021, where I obtained my degree in political science, and have completed my second degree in psychology. I have always enjoyed and excelled at working with children. For two years, I have worked with children aged infant to Kindergarten in a daycare setting and am a fully qualified childcare teacher in the state of California. Most of my time is spent with the toddler (12 to 23 months) age group, but I have experience in classrooms with children up to age 6. Additionally, I have about 4 years of volunteer experience with preschool and lower elementary aged children in both a formal and summer camp setting. I have worked with families both on and off Urban Sitter for 3 years, with children ranging in age from 1 to 10 years old. The opportunity to impart knowledge and bring joy to children, or even be a playmate, is a rewarding experience - I believe children can be our teachers too. I understand how crucial it is that you feel comfortable with the person taking care of your children - and I would be happy to speak further, answer any questions, or tell you more about myself.
