Hello, my name is Autumn and I've recently returned to my hometown of Los Angeles. I'm very excited to reconnect with my roots and plant myself into a new life here. Since I was a valley girl, I've been caring for others. Whether it was my younger siblings (I come from a family of 7 kids) or the sweet family of 6 down the street, I started babysitting at the responsible age of 11! Years later I chose to be an au-pair in Germany to an infant and her 3 year old sister Luisa who filled my days with curiosity and wonder. Not long after returning to the states, I lived with a professional family of Berkeley, nannying for their 2 daughters aged 7 and 9. With both families I tutored, cooked, played games, crafted, offered transportation, advised, championed, provided recreational activities and sang lullabies. In-between these lines of work, I was also once a clown and balloon maker. I have assisted elders with tender care, errands, out of state relocation and aquatic exercise! (I recently became a lifeguard and certified swim instructor.) I am an extremely clean and organized person, a self-taught home chef, attended neurodivergent training and believe that human connection should always come first. I drive an all electric vehicle and have a clean driving history. I am the sole caretaker of 2 sweet cats but have also looked after friend's dogs in the past. As a child I had a pet mouse, snake, parakeet and hamster so I'm comfortable with all types! I pay close attention to detail, am excellent at anticipating needs and am a certified masseuse. I have much to offer individuals and families of all sizes. Being a caregiver is so much more than customer service as it requires sincere intuition and heart. One has to navigate personal needs while also being present of mind to consider safety, technicalities and timelines. I'm also experienced in home renovations should any minor repairs be required. my name is Debbie, I'm a 46 years old grandma of 6, the favorite aunt of all nieces and nephews and adopted grandma of all the kids who know me. ( yeah I don't know why but most kids end up calling me grandma Debbie ☺️) I am an experience sitter and have raised more than just just my own. I'm also a Sunday school teacher and teaching kids songs and playing games with them is my favorite thing to do. when I don't have kids at home I crochet and play with my dog. My education consist on an associate degree in Humanities. However I consider that my most important education came from learning how to be a good mother and friend to my own kids and I think I was successful because now I have 3 grown children who are my pride and joy, well rounded adults who never gave me head or heart aches.
