$30 per hour for 1 child

Hello! My name is Clara and I recently moved back to the Bay to work for the city of SF managing child nutrition programs. In the years prior, I completed my B.A. in Sociology/Anthropology at Swarthmore College and my M.S. in Food and Nutrition Policy and Programs at Tufts University. I have experience as a camp counselor, nanny, teacher, and babysitter but my primary passion is food and cooking. I'm happy to introduce your child to healthy eating or basic knife and cooking skills! *PLEASE NOTE* I do require a minimum of 3 hours in order to accept a job. My minimum outside of SF is 4 hours. My rate for one child is $30/hr, my rate for two is $35/hr, and my rate for 3 is $42/hr. These minimum rates are non-negotiable. I strongly prefer cash, credit, or check. I do charge for the entire time booked, even if you arrive home earlier than the agreed end time. LATE POLICY: If you think you are going to be late or would like to stay out later, please send me a text or phone call an hour beforehand. If not notified, an overtime charge will be applied to double the time you are late. CANCELLATION POLICY: No fee for cancellation up to 48 hours notice. Under 48 hours notice will be charged a 50% cancellation fee. Under 24 hour notice will be charged full fee.

Please call me Annie as all my friends do! I have cared for a number of SF families during my 10 years living here. During this decade my childcare work has ranged from infants 2 months old to children 5 years old. I adore seeing the city through their eyes and enjoy our museum trips, library excursions, and park adventures! I am well versed in handling children on Muni, and I am comfortable driving your car in the city. I am proficient in Mandarin and willing to tutor or speak with your child in this language. Before moving to SF I had 8 years of experience working with infants and children, particularly in daycare and tutoring environments. I have babysat since I was first “allowed” at 12 years old, but as an older sister I like to think my experience predates the age of 12. I also professionally care for dogs (and personally my cat) so I'm more than happy to look after your furry friends.

Hi there! I graduated from Tufts University with a major in Political Science and have worked in foreign policy on Capitol Hill for several years before moving into contract specialization here in NYC. I spent four summers as a preschool teacher working with children ages 1 to 5 and spent two years working with fourth graders, in addition to regular babysitting, and I absolutely love working with kids! I also have a year's experience as a full-time professional nanny for a single family with a toddler. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions about availability or would like to learn more about me as a babysitter. I am also happy to provide additional references upon request from my full-time childcare jobs, if you would like them in addition to my reviews listed here on the website. I look forward to hearing from you!

Hi there! I am a 23 year old female student who is very passionate about working with children and animals. I recently moved back to Massachusetts to return to school. I have 5+ years of experience working with children as a babysitter, and have also held positions as a camp counsellor at both day and overnight camps. I am comfortable babysitting multiple children at a time, helping with schoolwork, household chores, cooking, and pet care. I, myself, have dog sat and been the owner of multiple small animals. I am patient, outgoing, talkative, easy going, and I like to have fun while still being able to ensure that children follow rules and get tasks done. I have been certified in CPR and lifesaving, and did partake in a babysitting course during my youth, but would be happy to have all of these certifications updated. I was also certified as an EMT during college, which has since lapsed but left me with many useful skills.

I’ve worked with kids since middle school, starting by babysitting my little sister and tutoring peers, which sparked my love for helping children learn and grow. By 8th grade, I was an assistant teacher at Hebrew school and babysat my Rabbi’s daughter. In high school, I became a YMCA lifeguard (CPR certified) and taught swim lessons at summer camp. Throughout college, I spent four years as a certified tutor at the Boys & Girls Club, helping kids from 1st through 12th grade with reading, writing, math, and study skills. I graduated from Tufts University, where I studied Psychology and Economics, and have an intermediate level of Spanish. I love working with kids—watching their imagination develop, fostering their curiosity, and helping them learn. I also grew up with seven dogs, so I’m very comfortable with pets and happy to help with them too.

Hi! My name is Nia. I'm currently a student at Tufts University pursuing a graduate degree in Child Studies and Human Development. I also graduated from NYU with a background in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies. I have years of babysitting and part-time nanny experience, and I'm able to provide references when requested. During my time in NY, I used Urbansitter to find my families initially, then I would get referrals off this platform to work with other families. I enjoy working with children of all ages and I'm available for part-time/one-time babysitting/ tutoring jobs throughout the summer, and also during the academic year! I'm currently open to working with new families, and my availability is somewhat flexible, so please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns! If you'd like to set up an interview, or if you'd like to ask about my references, also feel free to contact me. I'd love to chat and I'm also willing to do virtual, over-the-phone/Facetime, or in-person interviews!

I've recently taken a break from running operations for tech startups on the East Coast, and relocated from Boston, MA to sunny Los Angeles! As I've settled into West Coast life, I've enjoyed building a practice of home care, dog sitting, personal assistance, and household services. I have clientele from Long Beach to Santa Monica to the Hollywood Hills and have helped them with childcare, pet care, errands, house cleaning, cooking, scheduling, driving and small business support. Personally, I'm a proud dog mom of Riley, a 3 year old Belgian Shepherd, and Skipper, a 5 year old Shih Tzu; and an even prouder aunt to 10 year old Teagan and 7 year old Avery.

Spending time with kids has always been something I look forward to, even though I work full time in consulting. I’ve babysat a 7-year-old boy, a 10-year-old girl, and spent years caring for my younger sister while my parents traveled for work. Caring for kids feels meaningful to me because I love being someone they can talk to, laugh with, and learn from. I enjoy helping with homework, making simple meals, playing games, doing creative activities, and making everyday routines feel fun and easy. I’m responsible, patient, and positive, and I’m happy to help with light cleanup and pets too. My goal is to make kids feel safe and supported while giving parents the peace of mind that their home and children are in great hands.
