**To keep all of the kids I work with healthy, I mask at school, in crowded public spaces, and while babysitting.** I am a Covid-conscious learning specialist available in Manhattan on nights and weekends. I have been babysitting for 15+ years for children of all ages, and in my day job, I work with 4th-12th graders. I've also taught elementary ESL, MS and HS literature and health, and K-2 drama. I’ve worked for a pediatrician’s office and an infant/toddler nursery as well as been a nanny, a camp counselor, and a drama teacher—when it comes to kids, you name it, and I’ve done it!

I am forty years old and currently live in Smithfield, NC. I have a BA in Public Policy Analysis from UNC Chapel Hill and have completed twenty-four hours toward a Masters degree in Public Administration at UNC Wilmington. I am just returning to the workforce as a Volunteer Coordinator for the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield following handling my mother’s estate and being her caretaker following a fourteen year career as the Executive Director at Downtown Smithfield Development Corporation. I have been babysitting for more than twenty-five years, since the age of twelve. I was a YMCA Afterschool Counselor, Summer Camp Counselor, and Swimming Lessons Instructor during high school and in the summers when I was in college. In Chapel Hill, I often babysat for members of the Chapel Hill Mother's Club. I joined Stellar Sitters in Wilmington after I moved there in July of 2007, and have worked with them in the Raleigh area since the fall of 2008. I also volunteered in Grow Zone (the nursery) at Port City Community Church in Wilmington. I have significant experience with school-aged children through the YMCA, and significant experience with babies, toddlers, and school-aged children through babysitting. I regularly care for my niece, who was born April 4, 2011 and has brought so much joy into my life! I really love interacting with children -- there's not a lot in this world that is more special or rewarding than seeing the excitement on a child's face when they accomplish something for the first time or learn something new! Some of my favorite things to do while babysitting are playing pretend and getting to see wild imaginations at work, arts and crafts and playing outside. I can have fun getting dirty and making a mess, but I will make sure that everything is cleaned up as it was when we started. It is my hope to encourage a child to be honest, responsible, respectful and caring, and to do this in a way that your child is entertained, learning and safe. I am glad to help with homework, do crafts, prepare food, and provide transportation. In my free time, I am often at a softball field or in the stands at volleyball games cheering on my niece. I am also an active member of the Junior Women’s League of Smithfield and volunteer for many community organizations. I enjoy cheering on my Tar Heels, photography, outside activities, scuba diving, and traveling! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me!

Hi! I'm Morgan and I have almost two decades of childcare experience. I've lived in New York for the past 9 years and currently based in Bed-Stuy. Originally from Orlando, Florida, I made my way north by way of UNC-Chapel Hill, where I graduated before ending up in Brooklyn. Over my nearly decade in NYC, I've worked with several families long-term, and I've also spent time as a long-term substitute teacher in Florida. Families tell me they appreciate that I'm reliable, calm, and genuinely enthusiastic about being there. Right now I'm taking a break from my career in the design agency world, which has given me the chance to do what I love most-- working with kids. I'm currently nannying for a 13-month-old and two 4-year-olds. I'm available for occasional nights and weekend hours.

Hi! My name is Gayatri and I'm a babysitter with ~10 of experience with children ages 1 - 14. I have a bachelor's degree in Economics and Creative Writing from UNC Chapel Hill (class of 2014) and currently work in Georgetown in branding / communications for non-profits and foundations. In my free time I like to read, write fiction, and cook! I love babysitting because it's fun -- I love getting to know children over games, arts and crafts, homework, and playing with their friends. I have experience working with boys and girls and enjoy babysitting actual babies as well as older school-age children :) I'm looking forward to meeting your family!

My name is Marie and I live in New York City. I am an experienced and dependable childcare provider with over 4 years of experience caring for infants, toddlers, and school-aged children. I also have a Master’s degree in Public Health, which has strengthened my understanding of child development, health, and wellbeing. I previously worked as a daycare assistant, where I gained hands-on experience caring for and supporting young children. My responsibilities included changing diapers, feeding, preparing and washing bottles, helping with nap time, leading circle time, reading books, organizing age-appropriate activities, assisting with schoolwork, preparing snacks, and safely accompanying children to and from school. I truly enjoy working with children and being part of their growth and development. I love creating a safe and encouraging environment where children can learn, play, and feel comfortable being themselves. I am focused, patient, versatile, caring, and dependable. Outside of childcare, I love going to museums, music concerts and reading books. I also speak French and English.

Hi! My name is Archie, a 33-year-old artist & nanny living in Brooklyn, NY. Thanks for taking the time to read a bit more about my work as a care professional! I have extensive experience with infants, toddlers, neurodivergent kids, and children with physical disabilities. I am well-versed in paced bottle feeding, developmental milestones, potty training, and approaches outlined in essential texts like "Big Little Feelings." To this work, I bring my own beliefs in time spent outdoors, laughter, emotional intelligence, self-expression, curiosity & the importance of arts/creativity! I'm an active play participant *with* the child - we can travel far and wide in our imaginations! When things get tough, I am here to listen, validate, and help find solutions that honor the child's needs and the healthy boundaries of other children and adults. As a member of the LGBTQ community, I also carry the belief that all children should be nurtured to live their truth in all that they do! It is important to mention that I am transgender, so I would only be able to work with families who can embrace that. While this is a truth about me, personally (and is something children are often curious about), I never "push" that idea on children or try to persuade them to be anything other than who they are! Playtime is serious business for me & I am always thinking of new ways to help kids discover, learn, & grow through our relationship. Put simply, I will care for your children, your home, and family as if they were my own. I hope to meet you & your family soon! Archie
Hi! My name is Kaneisha and I’ve been in childcare for over 13 years! I've worked in preschools, managed summer camps, childcare centers, and most recently have been working with children with special needs. I am currently a Developmental Specialist with the State of Nevada helping families meet their developmental goals as well as helping them secure necessary/beneficial services. I have an extremely flexible schedule and am excited to work with families here in the Las Vegas area. I moved here from North Carolina last year, where I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill some years ago with my degree in Psychology with a focus in childhood development. I can happily obtain any references necessary! I absolutely adore children and would love to continue offering my services here as I grow within this community. While most of my experience are with newborn to age 10-12, I also have experience with older children as well as pets and home management. Please reach out with any questions or concerns!
