I started my journey in childcare/teaching at age 19, when I was hired by the JCYS Lakeview Family Center as an Assistant Preschool Teacher for their 3-4 year old classroom. What followed was an incredible year of learning (for me and the students) that ignited my passion for empowering others through either teaching or intentional care. Since that time, I have gone on to teach students of all ages in a variety of arenas. I serve as a teaching artist for New York Shakespeare Exchange, teaching elementary/middle/high school students about literacy and writing skills through Shakespeare. I have also spent time teaching in Italy, using performance as a tool for personal expression and learning about managing emotions to students aged 6-17. I just moved to Philadelphia to support my fiancee as she grows her business (we make hand-poured candles). Outside of work, I play soccer and run marathons, I host card game/board game nights, and I am an avid motorsports enthusiast (driver and spectator). I am offering child care, senior care (non-medical), pet care, and household services. Happy to run errands or help with to-do's, however I can assist. The last thing I will add is that I am a professional actor. I lead with my creativity and imagination, especially in the education/childcare space. Hi, I'm Maddie! I recently graduated Magna Cum Laude in aerospace engineering, and I have a strong background in tutoring, mentoring, and supporting kids and teens. My academic experience has taught me to be organized, responsible, and calm under pressure. I’ve been caring for children most of my life. As the oldest sibling with a younger brother, I grew up helping with homework, meals, rides, and daily routines. I also have several younger cousins I’ve cared for since they were infants, so I’m comfortable with bottle‑warming, diaper changes, nap routines, and keeping little ones engaged and happy. As a teenager, I worked at a summer camp where I led cooking and baking activities, arts and crafts, swimming, and group games. Those experiences taught me how to create fun, safe environments and connect with kids of all personalities. I’m warm, patient, and very reliable, and I bring a steady, positive presence to any home. I love helping kids feel confident, whether through creative activities, homework support, or simply being someone they feel comfortable around. I’m also happy to help with pets and household tasks to make things easier for busy families. I speak French as well, so I’m glad to incorporate language exposure or help with French homework if that’s something your family would enjoy. Hello! I’m Taylor, a childcare worker and musician/actor here in NYC, offering infant/childcare and pet care! My first experiences taking care of children date back to when I was 14, babysitting the neighborhood children for work experience. Since then, I’ve spent countless summers as a summer camp counselor. When I moved to New York I spent time as a part-time birthday party entertainer for children of all ages, worked as a Toddler’s Assistant in private schools, and continue to nanny full time as well as substitute teach for all ages of children! I am a NY licensed driver with a clean record, able to transport your kiddos to and from school + all sorts of different activities. I love to incorporate music into childcare routines with lots of songs and encouraging words. (I also offer guitar lessons for elementary children and older). I’m a good cook and love to care for pets as well (dogs, cats, anything!)
