I'm a 34 year old professional nanny who truly loves working with kids. I have 13 years of childcare experience, both as a full-time nanny, babysitter and as an assistant preschool teacher. I worked for two years in the Toddlers class at a French immersion preschool where I completed some coursework in early childhood development. I also have a degree in French and would be happy to speak it with your child(ren) if that interests you! I currently nanny full-time, however I like to make myself available to families looking for someone they can trust with date nights and other occasional care when I have openings in my schedule.

Hello! I’m a childhood educator and nanny of 15 years. My backgrounds include early childhood education and developmental psychology. I encourage play centric environments. Some of my favorites are sensory play, crafting, STEM experiments, cooking with others, or an outdoor adventure for the day. I am comfortable aiding in potty training, developmental milestones, baby lead weaning, food sensitivities, and speech progression. I believe in creative curiosity as the foundation of interaction. I have ample experience from infancy to teens, with up to date CPR and first aid certifications. I also work in special needs communities. My work is focused in attachment style theory, positive reinforcement, and play based interaction. Other interests include milestone development from birth, and Montessori/Waldorf school programming with school aged kiddos. I enjoy herbalism, nature based play, climbing, and the great outdoors. My other certifications include infant mobility work, swim coaching, and youth exercise programming. I am a trauma informed provider with tons of experience in autistic, diabetic, and foster care communities. I aim to bring a sense of curiosity, acceptance and kindness to every interaction. Feel free to reach out for more info! :)

Hello! Thanks for looking at my profile! In my childcare experience, I’ve worked as a camp counselor, nanny, Mother’s helper and director of summer camp. I’ve cared for children from 2 weeks up to 12 years. I enjoy incorporating my knowledge and experience with art into my work with children because I believe it helps them to express their creativity. I attended the University of Oregon and graduated with a dual degree in Latin American Studies and Theater. Thanks for your consideration.

$27 per hour for 1 child

Hi! My name is Savannah. I recently graduated with a degree in Biochemistry and am currently working while preparing my applications for medical school. I've been caring for children since I was 15 and have experience with all ages from newborns to 15 years old. I've worked with large families (up to five children at once), twins and multiples, and I also have experience as a night nanny. Supporting children with special needs is especially close to my heart, my younger brother, who is 15 years younger than me, is on the autism spectrum, and that's shaped both my understanding and my approach as a caregiver. I'm CPR and EMT certified, and I'm happy to help with everything from date nights and tutoring to outdoor activities and daily routines. I genuinely love working with kids and creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for them to thrive in.

$18 per hour for 1 child

Hi! I’m Bella, I’m 24 years old and currently completing school online to obtain my veterinary technician license, so I have a very flexible schedule this summer! I actually used this app quite a bit a few years back and loved the families and kids I met, so I found myself wanting to come back to it again :) I’ve been babysitting since I was 14 and have experience with kids of all ages. I’ve also coached soccer and helped with summer camps in the past, so I love keeping kids active, engaged, and having fun! I’m very hands-on and enjoy crafts, outside time, games, homework help, and following household routines closely. I’d describe myself as patient, dependable, fun, and responsible. I also have experience with pets from working in veterinary clinics, so I’m very comfortable around cats and dogs. I’m happy to help with driving to activities, light housekeeping, meal prep, tutoring/coaching, multiple children/pets, and occasional overnight care. I have reliable transportation and am comfortable with cameras in the home as well! :) I am excited to meet you and your family!!

Hi! I have experience with nannying/babysitting/caregiving for 30 years. In my younger days I babysat and was a summer nanny for children ages 1-8 years old. That included morning and evening day/bedtime routines, packing meals, engaging in activities with children, coaching them with age appropriate skills (tying shoes, playing games, swimming, etc.). As I got older I continued to offer childcare on the side while working other jobs and going to school for a Bachelors degree in Sociology. Fast forward to when I moved to Portland in 2008, I began watching babies (starting at 6mos to a year) through a nanny share with multiple families. I really enjoyed the opportunity to watch children grow from such a young age and be able to guide them into learning life skills. I did this temporarily until going back to hospitality and restaurant management for 12 years. Fast forward to now, and I am currently a Site Director for an afterschool program for grades K-5 and I absolutely love it! I would like to continue working with kids in between my primary job, and look forward to meeting families that are interested in my experience! *infant/child/adult CPR and First Aid certified

$24 per hour for 1 child

Hi, I am Lila! I offer babysitting, nannying, tutoring, and pet care. I had my first babysitting gig in 6th grade, which is how I found out I love all the components working with kids has to offer! I have worked with infants to pre-teens, and am equipped for the responsibilities each age asks of me. Many of the families I have worked with have had multiple kids (and pets). I am comfortable and experienced with watching multiple infants at once; and with watching infants and older children, that require different kinds of attention. I grew up with three dogs and a cat, so taking care of animals in addition is welcomed. I love organizing all the details of the day into to-do lists to ensure every task is completed. The kids' happiness and well-being are the main priorities. Taking the kids outside (after lots of sunscreen is applied!), finding creative/enriching ways to spend our time together, and figuring out the individual needs of each child in my care is my approach to having fun and fostering development (of course, if other activities are outlined for me, I will make sure to do those). I grew up with a love for cooking, so making snacks and meals is both fun and easy. I am a senior in college, working towards two bachelor's degrees. I have highly developed writing, reading and comprehension, and social studies skills -- which positions me to help tutor kids, assist with homework, and work on personal reading/writing goals. I graduated high school with honors, so I have proficient math and science abilities. I am not bilingual, but I took Spanish all of high school, and continue to study the language in college, so I am available to help with the learning of lower-level Spanish. Additionally, I have a driver's license and perfect record. If you have any questions, please reach out and ask, I'd love to answer them.

I am a mother of 7 and a youthful grandmother of many. My children were in the regular education system for several years, and then were homeschooled while we traveled. At university I majored in economics, law and divinity. I have worked in higher levels of the civil service, in private business and in the healing arts. I have also provided executive protection for the families of well known people at festivals and concerts. In my current semi-retirement, I enjoy nature, hiking, cultural events, and social media. At UrbanSitter, I am mainly interested in short term assignments - movie nights, vacation help, children or adults recovering from illnesses or accidents, children needing brief tutoring or emotional support, and helping busy parents cope with the unexpected hurdles life sometimes throws when we're raising children. I am happy to help you and your family with whatever it is that you need at the moment, and I look forward to meeting all of you. Let's together find a creative solution for the current situation. .

I am a rising third-year college student with three years of driving experience, making me highly flexible and reliable for pickups, drop-offs, and last-minute schedule changes. I have 1–2 years of experience caring for toddlers and infants, and 2–3 years working with kids ages 4 and up—handling everything from daily routines and homework help to planning fun activities and outdoor play. I am exceptionally organized and proactive around the house, and I am more than happy to assist with household chores, light cleaning, and keeping things tidy. Outside of childcare, I work in real estate on the side, which has further sharpened my organizational, communication, and time-management skills—qualities I bring into every home I work with. As someone who grew up with both cats and dogs, I also have firsthand experience managing pet routines and behaviors. Because of this, I'm incredibly comfortable pet-sitting and managing a full, multi-pet household if needed. Overall, I am independent and calm under pressure, and I always treat every family's home, pets, and routines with the utmost respect.
