Hi, my name is Dominique. I am a Black woman, I’m 23 years old and currently in college with plans to become an elementary school teacher after graduation. I love to cook in my free time and go on walks. I have worked with children in the elementary school setting for the past 3 years, I was the lead programmer for the child care company I worked for. Working with children is my passion, I have worked with children with Autism, severe ADHD and other developmental problems throughout my experience. I am CPR certified. I also was in a position to co-aide with teachers, dealing with many different skill sets of kids from many different backgrounds, which I think was one of the best experiences I’ve had. One thing I pride myself on is being able to build genuine bonds with children and being their safe space so that they can be themselves, learn and grow in their own ways. I would say that I’m very patient and open minded, which I think is very important when dealing with children. Being selfless, caring and empathetic are important traits that I embody to the fullest. I have some experience babysitting for young children. I was even a pet sitter for a period of time.
