Hi! My name is Natalie and I am passionate about working with children. I have been babysitting and nannying non-stop since I was 12 years old. I love making meaningful connections with families, so I appreciate when I can become a frequent sitter for a family. I graduated from the University of Washington, Seattle in June 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies. I focused on environmental education in my undergrad, so I love taking kids outside to get them curious and excited about our beautiful planet. Most recently, I worked at a food bank in Seattle for two and a half years as a kitchen manager, creating ~1,000+ meals per day for low income/unhoused neighbors. This job was a dream job and also an incredibly difficult job that I’ve found myself needing a break from. Burn out is real in this world! Switching up my work and finding joy in play and caring for kids is exactly where I want to be. A little more about me: I’m an avid-outdoors person. I love backpacking, cycling, swimming, and skiing. In my free time I love exploring different mediums of art and creating in the kitchen! When I’m not nannying or babysitting, you can find me cooking something in the kitchen. I co-organize a free breakfast for unhoused neighbors once a week. I love to read— and would love to read to your little ones! Some of my most joyful memories from my own childhood are when the adults in my life would read me a bedtime story. I love the play and imagination a book can offer! I've mainly worked with children in the K-5 age range, but I'm very open to babysitting children of younger ages as well!
