I've mainly worked with children in the K-5 age range, but I'm very open to babysitting children of younger ages as well! Most recently, this last summer I was employed as an Assistant Instructor at IslandWood, an environmental education day camp on Bainbridge Island. I've also worked as an After-School Counselor at Wedgwood Elementary School. Additionally, I have past experience as a babysitter with middle-school aged children. Hello everyone! My name is Sarra, and I live in Greenwood, Seattle. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Public Health Global Health from the University of Washington (Go Huskies!). I’ve been working as a full-time community navigator. A significant part of my job involves interacting with families and kids to create fun activities and events. I am wanting to work as a babysitter a few times a week with families who need help after school, weekends or date night! I’m musically inclined and believe that music has the power to heal any wound. I’ve always loved children and was the most trusted family member to watch over my little cousins. I have experience working with toddlers, young children, and teenagers aged 3 to 17. I’ve also worked with children on the spectrum. In my experience, I engage children in activities they enjoy the most and provide them with ideas to explore. I go out of my way to find the best activities to keep them occupied, such as learning a new language (I’m multilingual and speak French and Arabic), writing, drawing, or painting. The activities can vary depending on the child’s interests and passions. Some children love reading sessions, while others prefer singing, coloring, and drawing with music on, or simply playing board games like puzzles and interactive Lego construction games! Exploring the outdoors is also a fun activity to do if interested! I can help with homework and tutoring in various subjects, including English, Math, STEM subjects, and many others. I am hoping to find a few families that I can babysit for consistently so myself, and the kids and parents alike can be comfortable and confident. Hello! My name is Frances and I am a creative and fun-loving person who has a lot of experience working with children of all ages in various capacities. I started my childcare journey by helping to raise my little sister who is ten years younger than me and I've continued to grow as a childcare professional through adulthood. I've worked as a camp counselor at the Woodland Park Zoo where I was responsible for many children at once, I've volunteered as a creative writing teacher at an elementary school, and one of my greatest accomplishments is becoming a Certified Behavior Technician and working six months implementing and running treatment plans and therapeutic intervention designed by ABA therapists for children with autism of various ages (ages three to sixteen). I cook and clean, I'm CPR/First Aid certified, I love pets, and I have a safe car and a clean driving record.
