Hi! My name is Kirsten. I'm a 36 year old mom to two teens, (16 & 17), wife, and dog mom. For the past 9 years, I have been exclusively providing childcare for families with children ranging from 4 months to 12 years. Everything from age appropriate engaged play, assisting with sleep training, transportation to and from sports, helping with meal prep, cooking dinner, participating with littles in activities such as swim lessons or tumbling class, homework help, household cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, crafts, outdoor adventures and just about everything in between. I worked in childcare for 9 years. I first started out at Canyon Hills community Church in 2017, until Covid hit. Then by 2020 I applied to a full-time job as a teacher at Bright horizons in Kirkland. I developed a love for working with kids each year, that allowed me to begin my process to work in a school setting by going to college. I’m set to graduate 2028. I enjoy watching children grow as I’m with them and helping. I have cats of my own and I’ve had dogs, so I’m very experienced in caring for them when needed

Hello! I’m a 44-year-old mother of twin 17-year-old boys and come from a close-knit family of four siblings. I was born and raised here in beautiful Santa Barbara and am bilingual in English and Italian. I began babysitting at the age of 12 and have always had a deep love for caring for children. I truly believe children are amazing, and I enjoy creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where they can grow, learn, and feel supported. Over the years, I’ve gained extensive experience caring for newborns, infants, toddlers, and school-aged children—including twins and triplets. My responsibilities have included school drop-offs and pick-ups, arts and crafts, games, outdoor adventures, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication support when needed, and helping children maintain healthy routines through play and movement. My proudest accomplishment is raising my two sons into caring young adults. Second proudest is earning my degree in elementary education at 40 years old. I have always had a love for working with children and helping them grow and learn. I currently work as a substitute teacher for Tacoma Public Schools, so my schedule is flexible. When my younger son was a toddler, he joined me at my job as a daycare assistant, where I assisted caring for a small group of toddlers, as well as provided one on one care for a sweet baby from when he was three months old until he turned one. I have stayed in touch with their family and have enjoyed seeing the young man he has become. I also spend a lot of time with my 5 year old twin nieces, and we love dancing, reading, and going on nature walks. I have experience in creating engaging and educational activities for children of all ages. I am currently learning ASL through weekly online classes. I believe in open communication with both parents and children. I am always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that each child in my care feels loved, safe, supported, and valued. Hello, I am a proud Houstonian, mother of two daughters, a grandmother of a granddaughter age 15, and a grandson 13 months-old. ( I currently care for him during the day.) My love for caring for children began in high school. For the summers I worked with the infants and toddlers as a teacher's helper at the University of Houston Child Care Center. I enjoyed every summer I worked with them. At age 24 I became a Cosmetology Operator, then 10 years later I moved on to become an instructor at Paul Mitchel The School Houston (2[removed]) then in Austin (2019-2022).
