Hello! My name is Stephanie. Nice to meet you! I have been working with kids since I was 13 and am comfortable with pretty much all ages! I started out babysitting in high school for a few different families, and then spent a year as a nanny for a 3 year old and infant my senior year. In college, I started tutoring for different after school intervention programs, and spent some time in early education classrooms while working on my psychology degree interviewing students. I then spent 10 years teaching high school math, followed by 3 years at a one-on-one private school teaching kindergarten through college, all different subjects from English to math to even executive functioning skill building. I’ve spent a lot of time working with neurodivergent students, primarily ADHD and autism. I’ve had my own tutoring business with a steady stream of clients since college as well, some of them being former students that are now in college! I am very comfortable with different curriculums and teaching methods and can even offer homeschooling services. I also have a 1 year old niece that lives with me and is the absolute light of my life, so I am very comfortable working on developmental milestones. If you are looking for your child to meet and play with other children, she is also available to come with me and play! I also have a deep love of animals, primarily dogs, and have 5 dogs myself - 3 Pit mixes named Gracie (after Gracie Lou Freebush), Zoe, and Drogo, a Patterdale Terrier that we swear is part cat named Theodore (after the singing chipmunk), and a Husky/Rottweiler mix that we started calling Baba while finding a name and it stuck. I am also very comfortable in the kitchen and love to cook and bake - one day I’d love to open up my own food truck or restaurant or bakery!
