Hello, my name is Norma, I worked for ten years in a child care. I took Child Development courses at East Los Angeles College, and some general classes. Now I am choosing to work as a nanny serving working parents and taking care of them in their home because that is my passion.

Overseeing the basic schedule of children, conducting various educational activities, and supporting others as needed. Ultimately, will work directly with children to help them develop through educational and socializing activities.

For eight years, I have had the privilege of assisting families as a nanny for children from infancy through adolescence. I was previously with a family of 6 children, all under age 6, which included a set of twins on the autism spectrum. Every day was an adventure but it was the most rewarding experience so this just might be my calling. I am patient, creative, and innovative. I am just as comfortable with newborns as I am with teenagers. For newborns and infants, I am very experienced with implementing a sleeping and eating schedule, introducing solids, toilet training, and meeting milestones. For children, I enjoy introducing them to new sports and engaging activities such as baking and arts and crafts. I am able to assist with homework and tutoring using various methods, whether it be visual, auditory, or kinesthetic. I am a firm believer in positive communication and believe it is important to teach children how to communicate their emotions. I use emotion cards or simply have a conversation and after a rough day I most commonly introduce art or sound therapy. I am experienced caring for more than one child at a time and of all abilities. I am happy to help prepare snacks and cook meals, light housekeeping, and swimming supervision. I am First Aid, CPR, and AED trained. I believe in open communication and will always keep you informed about your child’s day, using your preferred method. Ultimately, I hope to create a fun and safe environment for children to thrive as well as being a great support system to parents.

Hi - My name is Tameka. I am offering child care, senior care and household services. I love being a babysitter and have been watching newborns, infants, toddlers and kids (including a child with autism). I started babysitting at 22 when my first nephew was born. My responsibilities have included driving to/from school, crafts and extra curricular activities, naptimes & etc. I also work as a household assistant and can cook, clean and run errands. I was a caretaker for my uncle when he was going through dementia. I took him on walks, played music and danced with him, and also took him to his appointments. When he was in the hospital at the end, I would sit and have long talks with him even though I knew he couldn’t respond. I knew he could hear me, and that was what mattered the most.
