If there is the opportunity, I like to bring these interests to my babysitting work and I also have a huge collection of children's literature and bring books with me to my sits. Further, I am highly experienced in working with children from all backgrounds, cultures and special needs, including autism. Since I've taught early elementary and middle school, I can help with homework if needed. I use a positive discipline approach with my own children and the children I work with. I'm adept at teaching social and emotional skills and I love helping children learn how to communicate and to understand and express their feelings to others including working out conflict as necessary.
