Experienced with infants, toddlers, elementary and middle. I’ve been on Urban since April 2015 so please feel free to browse my many 5 star reviews. Background: -While an undergraduate at Simmons College, I studied early childhood education and worked in an urban preschool for two years with Jumpstart, an AmeriCorps project. -CPR/ AED trained and certified by the Red Cross -Oakland CORE certified (Earthquake & Disaster Preparation) -My reviews are nearly all 5 stars. -I live in Cupertino (formerly from Boston) and am obsessed with hot yoga and once upon a time Sailor Moon. I’d be happy to be a healthy influence on your family and assist with household coordination. MY STYLE - Waldorf/ Montessori influences - I encourage creative & imaginative play along with self organizing and cooperation for older children. - For the pre-school and under crowd, I participate in parallel play and getting on the child’s level. - I love taking children outside to play or for a stroller walk. We will read books together (maybe even make one together) and on the whole I’ll be that new age sitter who isn’t too fond of screen time and would rather we go to the playground or explore fractal patterns in pinecones. 😋🌲 Thank you! -Jane *** A note on my care style: I believe children thrive with movement, fresh air, and exploration whenever possible. For children who are walking and older, I generally plan on stroller walks, playground visits, backyard play, or other age-appropriate outdoor activities (weather permitting). If your family’s needs require children to remain indoors for the entirety of each day, we may not be the best match. If outdoor walks or playground time require prior approval or have specific restrictions, I appreciate discussing those expectations before booking so we can ensure we’re a great fit. *** I do my best work when I am the primary caregiver during my scheduled hours. While I enjoy collaborating with parents, my style is naturally independent, calm, and child-centered. Families who are looking for a true mother’s helper role or who anticipate being closely involved with the child throughout the day may find that another caregiver is a better fit. *** My booking minimum is 5 hours unless we’ve worked together previously and have arranged an exception together.

Backup Babysitter on weekends only Hello Families, My name is Lia, and I’m a 31 year-old childcare professional living in San Jose with my husband, two hamsters and a Dalmatian dog. I used to work as full time nanny and then during the week as an early childhood afterschool instructor for the past 3 years but I transitioned back to child caregiving recently. I’m passionate about supporting children’s growth and development, with over 10 years of experience caring for kids of all ages, from infants to pre-teens. Why Families Choose Me: -Over 10 years of childcare experience, including newborns, infants, toddlers, and pre-teens. -5+ years of experience in the U.S., with a focus on nannying, teaching and occasional babysitting. -Master’s in Early Childhood Education. -First Aid, CPR and Mandate Reporter certified with annual update training. -Fluent in Portuguese and English, with conversational Spanish. -Comfortable with swimming pools, pets and providing light housekeeping (vacuuming, laundry, simple meal prep). -Experience with exceptional needs in both home and classroom settings. A Little More About Me: -Newborn Care Specialist certificate (but I rarely take care of newborns since I also work with school aged kids and need to be mindful of illnesses). -Fully vaccinated (COVID, flu, Tdap and others), boosted, and happy to wear a mask as needed. -I do not drive children, but am happy to assist with local activities and walking distance school pickups if needed. -I bring a nurturing, creative approach to caregiving and enjoy helping kids learn through play and exploration. I’d love the opportunity to support your family and help your children thrive. I look forward to connecting with you soon! Thank you for considering me. Best, Lia

Hello family, My name is "Jane" or you can call me "Tanya" and I'm from Thailand. I'm 29 years old. Dependable, honest, caring, trustworthy, organized, respectful, positive are all words that I would use to describe myself. Also I'm a non smoker or dont drink. I have 5 years+ experiences at daycare in Thailand and I just finished 1 year in Au pair in America program. Now, I work as a nanny in Bay area almost 2 years. I have been working with a lot of children including infants - toddler. I also have experiences with baby who has food allergies, reflux and helmet therapy. Also, I know how to do CPR, fully vaccinated and I have my own car with clean record. I work well with children and always treat them like they are my own. I enjoy being part of a child's growth. My goal as a Nanny is to have the children's best interest in mind, make sure the children are safe, clean and having fun while also learning. I'm a nanny who full of energy, creative and can organise activities, arts and crafts and educational activities etc. but I would love to follow your instruction as well. I also can do a lot of duties and take care of all things related to the baby, including diaper change, food prep, play time, naps, baby clothes laundry and take the baby out on walks etc. Not only am I patient, caring and nurturing, I am also extremely organized and very detailed when it comes to work. I'm pet friendly and have the flexibility to work and can do extra hour if you need help. I have a lot of family who can be my references, I can also provide it to you upon request. Please feel free to talk to me. I'd love to meet your family and get to know your baby. Thank you for your time. I look forward to talking to you! :) Sincerely yours, Jane

Jane has been coming 3 times a week for a couple of weeks now to take care of our daughter and also help out in a few home chores. She is really very good at taking care of my daughter. In fact my daughter listens to her and enjoys playing with her. She is very clean and always cleans up areas once they are done playing and eating etc. she is always on time which I really appreciate. It has been great to work with her and I would highly recommend her.

$35 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 19 families in Cupertino, CA

Update for August 2026 I have a part-time contract, and am available for occasional or one time babysitting requests at the moment. Please reach out for availability. Hello! My name is Soo. I have a passion for life of faith in Jesus, food and soccer. I have years of experiences working with children in different age groups in personal and professional settings as a babysitter, camp leader, after school program teacher, paraprofessional and substitute teacher/support school staff around the Bay Area in grades of TK to 5th. Working with children isn’t a smooth sailing but I actually really enjoy working with children, the cutie pies. I provide a place for your child to thrive in a play-based environment. I am not only present just for the sake of keeping a watch, but I strive to provide an environment and supervision where I foster and curate the day based children’s interests and minister to their emotional and educational growth as I learn to understand your child. Instead of harsh language and facial expressions, I seek connection through patience, understanding and empathy, knowing that they are still learning. I was crazy kid myself. As I grew older, I noticed how I was always surrounded by children, and I think I was a pretty popular playmate. I love many memories where we picked figs from the backyard, bake peach pies or just spend time in a competitive game of Tic Tac To, being this older sister I always wanted to have. I am an expert park-ranger and from the fancy skills of pushing two children on the swings, or making the greatest sand art, I make sure they have an awesome time with me. I’ve played collegiate level sports, and also have spent years to train as an artist. I am physically active with children. Parents have shown appreciation for the activities I‘ve provided, and I don’t leave work of cleaning up afterwards. I would love an opportunity to fill in as you step out to do what you need to do that day. They need good food, laughter and exercise. That is my priority. During our booking, I am not on the phone for personal use or entertainment. I use it as a tool to communicate or share updates with you. I am open to feedbacks and I appreciate transparency in our communication. If your child is SICK, please do let me know beforehand and be courteous. I’m looking forward to meeting with your family. It is a challenging time to raise children. Go mom & dad !!!

Soo was able to come last minute to help with our son while his nanny was out sick, and immediately engaged with him and had a great day together, with lots of updates on how things were going and pics of their adventures.

"When we hired Amani, we felt like we hit the jackpot. We were very lucky to find her on UrbanSitter at the beginning of school year. She was picking up kids from school, taking them to afternoon activities, helping them with assignments. She prepped food for them, helped organize their closets and keep their spaces neat and orderly. We would hire her again in a heartbeat."
