I’m a credentialed teacher with over 8 years of experience working with young children in both classroom and home settings. I’m calm under pressure, patient, and genuinely love supporting kids as they grow, learn, and explore. I bring structure, creativity, and warmth to every interaction — and I’m happy to help with routines, meals, and learning activities too.

“Sarah sat for my 4 and 6 year old 3 times. She was on time and professional. She was very engaged with them, they went to the park once, did crafts, played checkers and she read them several whole chapter books. She seemed to be calm during sibling conflicts and set kind but firm boundaries. ”

Hi! I’m a loving and experienced nanny who has cared for children of all ages over the last 20+ years. I’m a nurturer by nature who has always enjoyed caring for children. I’m also a proud mom. I have a stepson in college and my daughter and son are 15 and 14 years old. Additionally, I taught 3rd grade for a few years before having my own children. I’ve been blessed to have worked for many amazing families over the years and I always form a close bond with them. I can’t even count the amount of children I’ve been so lucky to have loved and watched grow up. There is something so beautiful about seeing the world through the eyes of a child and helping them grow and explore the world around them. I’m patient, fun, empathetic, warm, kind, friendly, easy going, competent, communicative, and trustworthy. While I am comfortable caring for a child at any age, I especially enjoy the little ones- babies, toddlers, and young kids. I always have, and being a mom of early teens now, I especially often miss those baby days, although I remember how hard it can be too, so I empathize with parents. My children are my life and greatest joy, and I always treat other children as if they are my own. Parents are a child’s first teacher so I am very respectful and responsive to the parents’ wishes. Currently, I’m looking for my next wonderful family to connect with. I’m particularly interested in 20-30 hours/week. I’m CPR/FirstAid certified and also happy to provide references if needed. Looking forward to finding the right fit. 😊

Hi there! I’m Roua, 29, and I’m looking forward to finding a family to work with. I’ve cared for children of all ages, from infants as young as 5 months to kids up to 13 years old. Growing up, I spent a lot of time looking after my nieces, and I’ve always loved helping kids learn, explore, and grow. As I got older, I worked at the “Kids Club” at the Concord UFC Gym for 2 years, where I cared for multiple children and helped plan fun and creative activities. I’m happy to help with meals, light housekeeping, and coming up with games and activities that keep kids engaged and happy. I’m also a San Francisco State University graduate in Anthropology, and I bring patience, energy, and a love for working with children to every family I work with! COVID-19 vaccinated

“Roua was wonderful with my 6 month old! Phenomenal communicator, and super confident, thoughtful, experienced, flexible and caring. Strongly recommend Roua!”

Whether the help you need are recurring days or just random days I would love to help. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested if you are interested, I'd be happy to answer any more questions you may have. thanks so much Denny

“Stop right here and hire Denny if looking for reliability, true nanny professionalism, and genuine care for the children she cares for. We are a family with two toddler girls and we were struggling to find a reliable nanny. We hired Denny and never looked back- she was with us for two years and we had several trial babysitter nanny experiences before finding her on urbansitter. She is experienced and has been the only reliable and trustworthy childcare candidate we have found in our area. As a mother herself and long time nanny, she sees things that I didn’t and ALWAYS accommodated our family with our wild schedule. She was truly a God sent and we will miss her dearly. She is definitely family and my girls love the Spanish they learned with her. Denny has reliable transportation and did not have any other factors preventing her from committing 100% to our needs.”

Decades as a preschool teacher across the SF Bay Área working with ages 0 to 7, focused on Spanish-immersion and play-based care that supports emotional and developmental growth.

“Leyla is a true gem. She used to be a daycare teacher and has been our nanny -- both individual and as part of a share -- for the past 9 months. She's been such an attentive and sweet caretaker who sings to the babies, helps with their food prep, and plays with them all day. In addition, she sends detailed summaries of what/how much the babies ate/drank during the day and their nap schedules. She can easily handle two little ones (even taking them to the park!) and is extremely reliable. She's originally from Peru and is also a skilled cook. We miss her already.”

"When we hired Amani, we felt like we hit the jackpot. We were very lucky to find her on UrbanSitter at the beginning of school year. She was picking up kids from school, taking them to afternoon activities, helping them with assignments. She prepped food for them, helped organize their closets and keep their spaces neat and orderly. We would hire her again in a heartbeat."
