I am nany with years of experience I speak Spanish and intermediate level of English. I know how to cook and prepare snacks. I know drive car and I have a license. I have cpr certified. I have focused on Montessori education and respectful parenting. I am very clear that the most important thing is attention to your children, care and that they have moments of fun. I also understand the independence of some children and that others need a more sensitive caregiver who listens to them and is present in the moment. I am the childcare provider who is involved in play and activities.

Maddie $26 per hour for 1 child

Hi I’m Maddie and I currently work as an outdoor educator making the transition to classroom teaching this fall. I’ve worked in various childcare environments, finding the most reward from programs that prioritize outdoor experience, hands-on learning, creativity, and play. My interest in working with kids began in high school through various summer nannying and babysitting gigs, support at local in-home daycares and eventually with a local preschool. I’ve spent the past 5 years working in more structured outdoor-based school-year programs and summer camps. Within all of these roles I’ve worked with children of all ages, needs, backgrounds and experiences, allowing for me to have a deep understanding of how to support each child as an individual. I really appreciate being able to connect with all kids, and find great connection with people on the spectrum, or with behavioral needs. When working with kids, I love to find a balance between being energetic and silly with them while still maintaining respect and expectations. As an individual I could be described as silly, loud, and caring, I love spending time outside, doing all sorts of crafts and listening to live music. I am really excited to spend my summer hanging out with some cool kids and have a really flexible schedule. I’m open to consistent opportunities or occasional ones as well. If the fit is right I would also be open to maintaining a relationship into the school year for weeknight or weekend jobs. I am fingerprinted and background checked in CA, have an up to date Adult and Infant CPR and First Aid certification, a Wilderness First Aid certification as well as a Mental Health First Aid certification.

KeAra 1 review
$26 per hour for 1 child

Hey Y'all, my name is KeAra, and I've been babysitting for almost a decade. I have worked with all ages and have experience with special needs children, specifically autism and Down syndrome. I currently work as a paraprofessional aid in a special needs classroom, and with school being out, I am available for full-time work. I do not drive nor have a license!! I also have experience with pets, and am willing to do light housekeeping duties

“KeAra was an excellent babysitter to my two little girls for a little over 4 years. I knew her mother from work, and when I needed a babysitter, she, of course, recommended her daughter. My youngest child, 6 when KeAra started and 10 when she left, has severe nonverbal autism, and my other daughter, 8 in the beginning and 12 in the end, is protective of her little sister and not so kind to strangers. KeAra was quick to connect with them both through her kindness and gentleness, and was able to follow boundaries that I had set, and was never upset when I mothered hen'd a couple of times when she was sitting. As the years went on, she stayed kind, professional, consistent, and engaged. My daughters had many phases through those years, and at times those interests were completely conflicting, but KeAra handled them like a pro. Through tantrums, meltdowns, and changing communication styles, she even learned sign language for a couple of months to help with Ari. She never lost her cool and had great instincts when dealing with all of it. My one con is that she didn't drive, because that would've been a tremendous help, but I can say she was always punctual. I can't recall a time she was late in the 4 years I worked with her. She did outings all the time with my girls, and I always knew they were in good hands. I can not recommend a better person than KeAra for anyone who is looking for a babysitter. She is dedicated to learning about a family and a child and how best she can help. She is calm, energetic, flexible, and all around an amazing person.”

Serena $35 per hour for 1 child

Hey! My name is Serena, with 2 years of professional nanny experience and 8 years of being the family nanny. I have experience with kiddos aged from 3 months to 14 years old. I've had experience with being the family babysitter since i was 15 years old. I offer childcare services, cooking for the kiddo(s), bath time, tidying up areas the kiddo and I use, and light laundry if need be. Some activities I typically do range from arts and craft activities, making baked goods/smoothies, reading books, outside play to tire them out, and board games. For younger kids I typically do more age appropriate activities, like sensory box play, tummy time, flash cards of numbers and letters. Additionally, I have experience driving kids around in former parents cars. I have reliable transportation so a commute won't be an issue. I am BLS (basic life support) certified, CPR and AED certified as well. I will provide my certification card (along with my Covid vaccination card), references and resume upon request.

"When we hired Amani, we felt like we hit the jackpot. We were very lucky to find her on UrbanSitter at the beginning of school year. She was picking up kids from school, taking them to afternoon activities, helping them with assignments. She prepped food for them, helped organize their closets and keep their spaces neat and orderly. We would hire her again in a heartbeat."
