I’m Noa, a 24-year-old working as an instructional aid at an ousd preschool! I bring a bilingual, whimsical, and holistic touch to caregiving. My caregiving style is very patient, intuitive, and child-led. I’m highly experienced with neurodivergent children and understand how important it is to provide a calm, low-pressure environment. I worked as a 1:1 paraeducator for a tk student with autism+PDA and absolutely loved it! I’m completely comfortable letting kids take the lead whether that means jumping into their favorite games, giving them space for quiet parallel play, or using collaborative problem solving to help navigate daily routines. Growing up on a ranch in the Imperial Valley surrounded by a rich Mexican culture, I was raised with a true farm-to-table mindset. I even learned how to bake bread before I ever got a cell phone! I love bringing that passion for cooking and gardening into my daily care, nurturing each child's whole self through creative play, patience, and mindful support.

My background started as a k-5 Arts Educator at several afterschool programs, which I've done for the past four years in San Francisco. Ive taught a range of mediums including sewing, fiber arts, painting, clay and ecological art. I've also taken these skills and lead enrichment programs for kindergarteners at Malcom X Acadamy. In the past 2 years Ive been working part time at a preschool called Ducks Nest in Oakland with children from the ages of 2-5. Nannying, babysitting, and teaching are all experiences I've integrated into my childcare work the past 5 years and beyond. It is an honor to contribute to the care and support of any child's life, and I'm excited to continue to do so in my career. I also have experience with children and adults with disabilities.
