Hey there, I'm Bruna, 35 years old. I've been working with kids for over 10 years, starting back in 2010 when I volunteered at an orphanage. Since then, I've worked in preschools, and taking care of children from newborns to 15-year-olds. I've handled nanny shares, looked after more than 5 kids at once, and helped out at events like weddings and birthdays. I also have experience working with kids and teens with disabilities and different needs. Before moving to the United States in 2016, I finished university in Brazil in 2015. Now, I'm a Family Assistant in the Bay Area, taking care of 3 kids and helping with errands. I've got training in Early Childhood Education and I'm fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. I'm legally allowed to work in the US, I've got my own car and a California Driver's License, and I'm certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), and I'm infant qualified. Policy: Hours scheduled: The amount of hours first requested by the family is the amount paid at the end each booking, even though they get home early than the ending tome specified on the booking. Thank you for your time. Looking forward to tak to you. Bruna

$30 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 28 families in Emeryville, CA

Hi, I'm Jennifer and I'm 43years old. I live in San Francisco, Ca. I have been taking care of children, with and without special needs, for over ten years now. I have over 32 units completed in child development, and work as a head teacher for Tinycare at Mission Bay Infants. I have extensive special needs experience! I have current Covid and boosters, CPR, First Aid, TB, DPT and Flu vaccine. I am experienced in food allergies and organic diets. I also know basic sign language, and have worked with families who use the sleep training method. I pride myself in providing engaging and stimulating activities instead of having children sit in front of a tv all day. I have worked as a live-in, live-out and on-call nanny. Some of my favorite activities to do with young children are singing, fingerplays, lots of reading (I love to read!), going on outings to parks, musuems, etc. For older children I love to incorporate activities that have an educational value too, like learning about history, science, etc in a fun and exciting way. I also do lots of art projects and music. I have quite a collection now, both from working in a school, different families and materials I have purchased. Children who I meet are always super excited to go through my "nanny bag" which I prepare for each family depending on the age of the children. Some of my interests are reading, writing, swimming, bike riding, going for walks and spending time with family and friends. I have excellent references and a resume available.

$26 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 17 families in Emeryville, CA

Hello to all the parents out there! My name is Tye (the little ones call me Miss Tye) and I am originally from Sacramento, CA. I have been living in the Oakland Millsmont area for a little over four years. A little about me— I have a very bubbly personality and I am extremely creative; even my friends call me Miss Frizzle from Magic School Bus! From having fun creative time to having garden lessons or playing sports at the park, I always put my best effort forward. I started my career in child care at the age of 16 where I worked at a in-home daycare for 2 years that had kids ranging from infants to 13 years of age! I continue to be a regular sitter for three families; all of which I’ve been with for multiple years and have connected with through Urban Sitter. I also love to deep clean homes and have had that be my primary role within services like IHSS (in home support) for those who did not have the capacity themselves.

I have over 14 years of experience taking care of newborns, infants, toddlers, elementary school aged children, middle school aged children, preteens, and teenagers. I have provided childcare to over 300 families. I am a reliable, fun, patient, friendly, responsible, and caring babysitter. I have great references available upon request. I am CPR and first aid certified for babies through adults by the American Heart Association. I have experience being a summer camp counselor during the summer of 2014, in which I led several games and age appropriate activities for campers. I am a huge fan of the outdoors and do think the outdoors is a great place for discovery and learning, as I enjoy taking kids to playgrounds, museums, libraries, etc in the Bay Area. I am also a fan of music, acting, and arts and crafts. I know of several simple and appropriate art projects for children of all ages and abilities. I do not mind doing light chores such as dishes and laundry. I own a car, and I transport myself to and from jobs. I am able to drive children to and from activities. I have a clean driving record and am fully insured. A little bit about me... I am a San Francisco native. I am a graduate of the University of Nevada and currently working in finance. I hope to fulfill my lifelong dream of working with children for many more years to come. I enjoy watching children grow and mature, as well as creating awesome relationships with families. I have enjoyed babysitting over the years and truly enjoy the opportunity to make a positive impact on a child's life. Thank you so much, and I hope to babysit for your family!

"When we hired Amani, we felt like we hit the jackpot. We were very lucky to find her on UrbanSitter at the beginning of school year. She was picking up kids from school, taking them to afternoon activities, helping them with assignments. She prepped food for them, helped organize their closets and keep their spaces neat and orderly. We would hire her again in a heartbeat."
