Hello! My name is Skylar Kennedy and I have always known that I love working with kids. I am the oldest of 7 children and started looking after the little ones very early on. Then in my teens and early 20s I started coaching Pop Warner cheer, working in children's theatre groups, and babysitting as much as possible. I started being a nanny at 19years old and just kept up the momentum. I now have worked with over 100 kiddos ranging in age from 3weeks to 15 years old. I also have extensive experience with children on the spectrum, kids with verbal or developmental delays, deaf or non verbal, ADHD, and Anxiety disorders. I am currently finishing up my bachelor's degree in child development and have my first aid/CPR certification. My approach with kids is just meeting them where they are and understanding that children learn and communicate through play. There's so much value in making a mess and/or playing outside as much as possible. Everything can be a learning experience without it even feeling like we have taught a child anything because we just had so much fun getting dirty and cleaning up together. For jobs 3 days or less per week and one time bookings, I do have a late cancellation policy. Cancellations with less than 24hrs notice will result in a 1/2 payment. Ex: if my projected pay was 100$ for the day, the late payment would be 50$. For full time families, I require guaranteed hours per week, paid on the books through a payroll service at 30-40$ per hour depending on responsibilities and number of children. I also prefer to negotiate for holiday/sick days (typically 2 weeks vacation and 1 weeks work of sick time but again we can negotiate a bit!) Hello! I have years and years of housekeeping experience private resorts to private home cleanings to historic hotels to cleaning in hospitals you name it I probably have cleaned there hahahaha! I have baby sat for friends and family I watch my niece all the time she is now six! I grew up on a ranch I have mounds of experience taking care of animals I house sit regularly for a few clients of mine they have dogs cats bunnies horses!

I am currently a second year in college. I am getting a degree in special education to become an elementary school special education teacher. I am the oldest out of 10 cousins so I have a lot of experience with babysitting. I am from Huntington Beach, California. I have been doing softball lessons with kids ages 6-15 for about 5 years now and I love it! It’s so much fun to work with the kids and see them grow as a person and in the sport. I also volunteered at a local church and worked in the nursery and the toddler room. I am a huge family person and I will always be. I know American Sign Language but I am not fully fluent.

I am very caring and loving. I also have some experience with special needs kids. I love to be outside and go for walks and I will be a mommy helper if need too.
