During that time I took some Child Development courses and discovered how much there is to learn from kids. I have experience working with kids at the Boys and Girls Club in San Francisco and also helping out my aunts with all my little cousins. I love to babysit not only because it is empowering, and teaches me to play and be patient, but also because I get to help children, show them safe ways to have fun and express themselves, and ultimately help create a community filled with healthy connections. I’ve spent years taking care of younger cousins and family friends’ kids, ranging from school-age through teens. I’m CPR certified and take safety seriously. Since I have a strong academic background, I’m especially comfortable helping with homework and tutoring, whether it’s a tricky math assignment or just staying on top of schoolwork.
