I am patient and I love to spend my time with kids, I'm very sweet and funny, so I get along really well with them. I'm also creative when I teach. And last but not least, I am very independent, so I will adapt easily.

“From the very first day, Diana was punctual and reliable, always arriving on time. My kids adore them and often talk about the fun games they play together. Diana has a great way of keeping my children engaged with creative activities, from arts and crafts to outdoor play. Diana is one of our best sitters, and we highly recommend her!! ”

Hi! My name is Chelsea and I live in the Castro. I studied Psychology at San Francisco State and have always had a special interest in child development. I am the eldest of six and have extensive experience working with children of all ages. Before I moved to the Bay Area, I worked as a household manager/nanny for entrepreneurs, an overnight nanny for a nurse, and as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) working with children with behavioral difficulties and developmental disabilities providing ABA therapy. In addition, I’ve worked intermittently as a sitter over the last 13 years, as a classroom aide (K-3), a summer camp counselor for middle school age children, a private reading tutor, and a dog walker. I have also held numerous part-time nanny positions throughout the city as well as been a full-time nanny for a family while living in their downstairs unit. Since moving to the Bay Area in 2019 I have had the pleasure of working with a number of different families. Some of my duties have included school and activity pick-ups/drop-offs, preparing healthy meals, bathing, running errands, cleaning, homework support, and providing a hug and comfort when needed. My favorite part about working with kids is helping them reach their potential. I am big on promoting learning at every opportunity through music, art, and exploring the world around us. Celebrating success is one of my favorite parts of my work. I love promoting and reinforcing hard work, while also being supportive during times of struggle. I specifically enjoy creating learning games to build academic skills while being engaging and exciting. I spend a significant amount of my free time learning about best practices in promoting healthy eating, emotional development, and self esteem in kids. I do not consider myself to be a pushover, but at the same time I am not harsh or mean. When I worked as an RBT, my supervisors described me as being very patient and consistent. A bit about me: I have lived in SF, Larkspur, and Petaluma, and love what both the city and Marin have to offer. On weekends I enjoy spending my time hiking all over Marin, or taking my German Shepherd to the beach to play catch with a frisbee. When I’m not outside, I enjoy learning new songs to sing to on the piano and ukulele and reading books on personal development.

I have about two years of experience caring for families outside and within urban sitter with CPR certification and a clean driving record. I have experience working at a day center and as a teachers assistant with special needs children. I’ve developed strong childcare expertise with managing routines, engaging with children through educational and playful activities. Alongside my work in childcare, I am pursuing a college degree in psych, focusing on child development. However, i am currently taking a gap year. I am also a highly responsible, consistent, nurturing, and supportive individual who takes pride in being apart of children’s lives!

“Nat was absolutely amazing, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment she arrived, she was warm, professional, and incredibly attentive. She took the time to understand all of our instructions and followed them carefully, which immediately gave us peace of mind. She was also wonderful with our dog, Brody. Nat was so patient, gentle, and caring with him that he quickly became comfortable in her presence. Most importantly, she was fantastic with our son. Toddlers can definitely have their moments, and our son had a few emotional outbursts while we were away. Nat handled each one with incredible patience, kindness, and compassion. She never seemed flustered and approached every situation with a calm, nurturing attitude that made us feel completely confident he was in great hands. It’s not easy finding someone who is both dependable and genuinely caring, but Nat exceeded all of our expectations. We truly appreciated her attentiveness, communication, and the level of care she provided to our entire family. We will absolutely be using Nat again in the future and are looking forward to having her back. We highly recommend her to any family looking for someone who is trustworthy, patient, compassionate, and exceptional with children and pets.”

"When we hired Amani, we felt like we hit the jackpot. We were very lucky to find her on UrbanSitter at the beginning of school year. She was picking up kids from school, taking them to afternoon activities, helping them with assignments. She prepped food for them, helped organize their closets and keep their spaces neat and orderly. We would hire her again in a heartbeat."
