Amanda 1 review
$33 per hour for 1 child

Hi! I’m Amanda, a caring, responsible, and energetic caregiver with 2 years of childcare experience in the U.S. During my time as a live-in caregiver, I cared for three children who were 3, 5, and 8 years old when I finished, and I had been with the youngest since they were 18 months old. I have hands-on experience caring for multiple children and managing their daily routines. I helped get the kids ready in the mornings, prepared meals and snacks, drove them to school, sports, activities, playdates, and parks, and made sure they were safe and comfortable throughout the day. I also regularly helped with dinner and the evening routine, including bath time, pajamas, getting ready for bed, and bedtime. My responsibilities also included kids’ laundry, making beds, organizing backpacks and play areas, errands, meal prep, and keeping the kitchen and common areas tidy. I’m CPR/First Aid trained and take safety and communication seriously. I’m patient, dependable, organized, proactive, and easygoing. I genuinely enjoy spending time with children and keeping them engaged through outdoor play, crafts, games, trips to the park, and age-appropriate activities. I’m also comfortable helping with household tasks that make a family’s day run more smoothly. I have a degree in Civil Engineering, which has helped me develop strong organization, problem-solving, and time-management skills. I’m currently based in Oakland and am looking to connect with local families for babysitting, nanny, mother’s helper, and family assistant opportunities. I’d love to get to know your family and see if we could be a good fit!

“Amanda has been our au pair for the past 2 years (2024-2026). During that time, she was a great partner to me and a welcome addition to our family. She is communicative, flexible, and proactive as a mother’s helper and is caring and warm (but firm when needed) with my 3 boisterous girls. She has worked with us since my youngest was 1.5 years old so she’s very familiar with everything from feeding and nap schedules to potty training, as well as how to entertain older kids. She is also a safe driver and has spent a lot of time with my oldest (now 8) driving her and her friends to their after school activities. She has babysat for us for many date nights, handling the bath/bedtime routine for all 3 girls by herself. I clearly cannot say enough good things — you need Amanda :)”

Zargoona 1 review
$20 per hour for 1 child

Hello! Here are some things about me: I am a mother of 3 children. I have worked in schools and in daycare centers. I have a certificate of Childcare from Chabot College. CPR certified. I have started a home childcare business 3 years ago. My total work experience with children is 25 years.

“Zargoona was a fantastic nanny for my son. She watched him for about 2.5 years (from 6 months old to 3 years old). She raised 3 smart and successful children, and I knew my son was in great hands. Zargoona was very timely, responsive, communicative, flexible, caring and gentle with my son, and respectful of me and my home. She spent about 8 hours a day with my son while I worked and always kept him entertained by playing, singing, reading, doing arts and crafts, going outside. Zargoona was extremely helpful and hands on with potty training my son (as a requirement for him to enter preschool). Zargoona became a part of our family, and we still keep in touch. I am forever grateful for the time and care Zargoona provided for our family and would not hesitate to hire Zargoona again.”

$30 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in San Leandro, CA

I am a caring, responsible, and trustworthy person with a lifelong passion for caring for children. Childcare has been a natural part of my life, not just a job. From the age of 10 to 17, I helped care for my younger siblings, taking responsibility for daily routines such as preparing meals, helping with homework, maintaining the home, and providing supervision and emotional support. This experience taught me patience, organization, and strong caregiving skills from a very young age. I also cared for a baby under one year old for three months while traveling between Costa Rica and Panama with an American family. The parents trusted me enough to travel with them and fully care for their baby. I can provide a reference letter if needed. My responsibilities included feeding, bathing, putting the baby to sleep, following daily routines, and giving full attention to the baby’s well-being. While the baby rested, I assisted with light household tasks such as cooking and keeping the kitchen clean.

“We feel so lucky to have Yvonne as our nanny. She started with us in December 2025, caring for our 2-month-old and 5-year-old, and has been incredible from day one. She is extremely reliable, always punctual, and communicates clearly. She has even stepped in to help us during last-minute childcare gaps. We can truly count on her. Yvonne is wonderful with children—she engages them with play, music, and reading, and brings such positive energy. Our kids love her and feel happy and safe with her. She is also warm, supportive, and is part of our family. She has gone above and beyond, even helping with meals. Most importantly, we trust her completely. Any family would be lucky to have her.”

"When we hired Amani, we felt like we hit the jackpot. We were very lucky to find her on UrbanSitter at the beginning of school year. She was picking up kids from school, taking them to afternoon activities, helping them with assignments. She prepped food for them, helped organize their closets and keep their spaces neat and orderly. We would hire her again in a heartbeat."
