Growing up in a large, age-diverse family gave me the unique opportunity to help care for children from a very young age. In addition to my younger siblings, I became an aunt at 10 years old and now have seven nieces and nephews whom I absolutely adore. I’ve proudly helped care for them at various stages of their lives. These days, I'm often helping out with my two grade school nephews, who live in the city as well; this includes babysitting, occasional school pickups, organizing activities, outings, cooking, and helping around the house. I love artsy activities - lately we've been drawing/painting, making zines, and making patches/embroidering. I’m comfortable caring for children of all ages and take pride in my ability to meet each child where they're at, both developmentally and emotionally. Professionally, I’ve worked as a paraeducator for the past 3 years in both SSFUSD and SFUSD. In this role, I've supported students with a range of learning disabilities and behavioral challenges, while also assisting the broader classroom. Although most of my recent experience has been with high school students, I’ve also worked with elementary and middle school children through after-school and summer programs. I take pride in staying connected to my inner child, which helps me build genuine, trusting relationships with kids of all ages.
