Hi, I’m Dilan, an Ecuadorian architect and educator with experience in extracurricular activities; I’ve been working in the New School of SF with children for over five years. I lead a wide range of activities, including motor skill development, math, handwriting, and dance (I am a professional dancer and a member of a dance troupe Instagram: @chekumbe). I have worked with children with autism and anxiety; this experience has taught me how to understand them and view the world from a different perspective. I currently assist two families on a regular basis, handling cooking (I managed a family restaurant in Ecuador), deep cleaning the home (I am very meticulous about cleanliness), running errands, and childcare. I am physically capable of moving heavy objects and am an excellent "manny." I treat children with love and respect, and I am an animal lover: I have three dogs at home (one is 14 years old) and a rescued cat. I enjoy sports and have been living in the United States for a year and a half. I speak English (though I am still learning), Spanish is my native language, and I speak a little Portuguese. I am dedicated to teaching, fostering respect and tolerance, and building wonderful bonds with children. I have 4+ years experience working with kids. Both babysitting, tutoring, and working in a daycare as well. I love kids of all ages and have taken care of newborns through middle school age kids. I am energetic and responsible, I love planning art activities, taking the kids on a walk to a park, going to the beach or a museum (with parent approval) or a night at home playing games and watching movies/reading books! I have experience helping children finish their homework so I have no problem making sure study time happens as well. :) I am also CPR certified.

Hi, I’m Beatriz from Brazil, and I bring over 10 years of experience working with children. I began my journey in Rio de Janeiro, where I studied graphic design at university and worked as a part time camp assistant at an after school program. In 2018, I moved to California to improve my English and further my education through courses in arts, communication and kids development. From 2018 to 2021, I worked with the FR family, caring for their four children. This role strengthened my ability to manage the needs of multiple children of different ages. My daily responsibilities included drive, planning engaging activities, and supporting them with homework and online learning. From 2021 to 2023 I began working with the B family, caring for their two children—one of whom is autistic, while the other had limited social interaction due to lockdowns. My focus was on tutoring, enhancing their school performance, and supporting their motor and social development. Since January 2024, I have been working with the C family, who have three children, including a 15 month-old baby. This role has significantly enhanced my skills in caring for both infants and toddlers simultaneously. I am primarily responsible for managing afternoon activities, evening/night routine, preparing meals, and assisting with various household tasks as a family assistant.
