After successfully homeschooling my two wonderful sons, my nest is empty, and it's on to the next chapter! I earned twelve units in Early Childhood Education studies at Santa Monica City College several decades ago while running a playgroup for ages 18 months to 4 years in my Venice, California home for three years. I also have an emergency substitute credential to teach grades K-12. Relocating to Marin County, I worked several pre-schools in Point Reyes Station. In more recent years, I worked in two Mendocino pre-schools as a substitute teacher. While at home raising the kids, I wore many hats in order to supplement the family income, so I am pretty resourceful with many varied skills and interests. Not much puts me off or daunts me. :) As a photographer, my specialties are kids and moms-to-be. I find young ones very fascinating and full of native wisdom. I love to chat with them, which puts them right at ease during a photo shoot. I love art, literature, science, and nature, so I like to do lots of hands-on stuff with kids. Hello there, Audrey here! I’m a 25 year old student looking for a part time nanny position. I have been a long term nanny for 2 families, and a short term nanny for 2 families, as well as lots of experience in babysitting and overseas volunteering in orphanages, schools, and after school programs too. I’ve always loved babies and children, especially since I was 13 when my little brother was born. I was like a second mother too him and it is such an honor and privilege to this day to be his sister and have a close relationship with him. A little about me is I moved to Santa Rosa August of 2024 after living overseas for almost a year. I’m originally from Washington state. I moved here to be closer to the love of my life, and have settled in quite well. I recently resigned from my case manager job, and have decided to get back into the world of being a nanny—which is something that always brings me so much joy and fulfillment. I love being outside and am quite adventurous. I am easy going and adjust well to change but I understand the importance of boundaries as well. Some of my favorite things to do are journaling, scrapbooking, reading, going to farmers markets, playing tennis and watching movies. One thing I value about being a nanny is being able to help come along side parents to create a safe space to watch and help their little ones grow into the wonderful humans they already are. I have experience with most ages. And the families I have been a nanny for have had kids ranging from infants-11 year olds.
