Booked by 1 family in Valley Village, CA

Hi - My name is Brittany I've been a nanny for 12 years and I'm bilingual in Spanish and English. I've also been a teacher in a Montessori preschool from ages 2-6 years old. I was enrolled for two years at Santa Monica City College, and LACC took 4 child development classes and have 12 units in child development. I’ve always been drawn to working with and learning about development of children of all ages. I started by watching my 3 younger siblings and then moved on to babysitting children family friends and now I've been a nanny for many families. The Montessori preschool has allowed me to better understand children, increase my ability to engage and play with children, and manage anywhere from 1-18 children at once. I am very enthusiastic, playful, can remain calm in stressful situations, and as compassionate as can be. If it’s nice out, I love to go for walks, visit a local park, or play in your backyard! If the day requires us to stay inside I enjoy playing games of all sorts and doing arts and crafts. I also have a clean driving record and can take the child to storytimes, museums, farmers markets, or other activities as long as I'm provided with a car seat and parents are comfortable with me taking their child to places. I love to keep and open and honest communication with parents and when I'm out with their child I like to keep a group chat with parents to share pictures and videos to involve parents in what we are doing. Please let me know if you have any questions and I can’t wait to meet your family! I have great references and if needed message me and I can message you back with all the references I have, CPR certification and resume. I also have a clean background check and motor vehicle check.

Rochelle $30 per hour for 1 child

Hi there, this is Rochelle! Everyday is an adventure with children. I love their curiosity, their affection, and desire to absorb learning new things and experiences! I am fantastic with children because I've been taking care of them my whole life! From helping take care of my baby sister while she grew up, to babysitting countless families in my community over the years! Additionally, I have childcare experience as a legal, professional employee in a high-end summer camp and after-school programs, where the standards of the families in that community were very high. I surpassed those standards, gaining private babysitting jobs with those families, based on the mutual adoration of their children and myself. I consider myself responsible enough to multitask but also keeping it fun for the kids, as I really do enjoy connecting with them! I consider myself to be trustworthy and reliable and am confident that past employers would agree. I always make sure to ask a new family about allergies, etc...anything important relating to their children!

Booked by 2 families in Valley Village, CA

Hi, I’m Teacher Kayla 🌿 I’ve spent the last eight years working with kids ages 4–11, and I truly love what I do. I bring a playful, calm, and creative energy, with lots of back-pocket games, songs, stories, and activities to keep kids engaged and having fun. We might be building, playing sports outside, acting out stories, reading books, or winding down with mindfulness & deep breathing. I have a college degree, coursework in Early Child Development, experience as a classroom lead teacher, and I’m CPR and First Aid trained. I’m comfortable setting kind, clear boundaries and helping kids get along, follow routines, and feel supported. I keep communication with parents easy and consistent, and I’m happy to help with meals, carpooling, light housekeeping, swimming supervision, travel, and caring for up to three children. My goal is always to create a safe, fun space where kids feel confident—and parents feel at ease.

Milan 2 reviews
$25 per hour for 1 child

Hi! My name is Milan, and I offer child care, non-medical senior care, house sitting, errand running and household services. I graduated from Howard University with my bachelor's degree and recently earned my master's degree from University of Southern California. Over the past few years, I've worked in residential life, summer programs, and student support, where I helped supervise students, plan activities, provide mentorship, and create safe, welcoming environments. Those experiences strengthened my patience, communication, and ability to stay calm and organized. For child care, I'm happy to help with homework, reading, arts and crafts, games, bedtime routines, meal prep, transportation, and light housekeeping. I enjoy keeping kids engaged while making sure they feel safe, supported, and have fun. I also provide non-medical senior care and companionship. Whether it's running errands, grocery shopping, meal preparation (I love cooking and baking!) transportation to appointments, light household tasks, or simply providing company, I'm happy to help make everyday life a little easier. In addition, I'm available for house sitting and can bring in mail, water plants, take out trash bins, and help keep your home secure while you're away. I'm dependable, organized, and easy to communicate with. I know how important it is to trust the person coming into your home, and I strive to treat every family with kindness, respect, and professionalism. Please note: I have an allergy to animal fur, so I'm unfortunately unable to work in homes with cats, dogs, or other furry pets.

“Milan has been my babysitter for my four children for the past couple of years, and I have nothing but the utmost respect and admiration for the care and dedication she has shown my family. She has consistently gone above and beyond in every aspect of her role, and I truly cannot recommend her highly enough. One of the things that has impressed me most is her ability to connect with each of my children on an individual level. She helped my son, who was struggling in math, by patiently working with him and encouraging him to stay motivated. Thanks in part to her support, he improved from earning D’s to becoming a B student. Seeing that kind of progress speaks volumes about her patience, commitment, and genuine investment in the children she cares for. Milan is incredibly reliable and dependable. I have always been able to count on her to pick up and drop off my children safely, make sure they arrive at karate and dance classes on time, and keep our family’s schedule running smoothly. Knowing my children are in responsible hands has given me tremendous peace of mind. She is also highly professional. She follows instructions carefully, asks thoughtful questions whenever clarification is needed, and communicates exceptionally well. She keeps me informed, is respectful of our family’s routines and expectations, and consistently demonstrates maturity and sound judgment. Beyond meeting responsibilities, Milan creates a positive, engaging environment for my children. She plans fun, educational activities that keep them entertained while helping them learn and grow. She is kind, patient, and nurturing, while also knowing when to be firm and maintain appropriate boundaries. My children absolutely adore her and genuinely look forward to spending time with her. Milan has been an invaluable part of our family’s support system. Her experience, reliability, professionalism, and genuine love for children make her an outstanding caregiver. I recommend her without hesitation to any family looking for someone they can trust completely with their children.”

Anna $33 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Valley Village, CA

Hi! I'm Anna and I love children! I love children so much because they are the most brilliant, hilarious, honest, authentic human beings. It is an honor to be entrusted with supporting them as they learn how to navigate this complex world. I taught pre-school at Play Mountain Place ( a Play School in LA since 1949) for four years. After which, I worked as a Nanny for 15 years. I worked with one family with two daughters ( ages 2 and 5 at start date) for four years, followed by a family with one daughter ( age 1 at start date) for six years. I most recent worked with a family with 5 year old triplets, for 5 years ( I met them on this site!) I have 12 units of Early Childhood Education course work. I also have a Yoga Teacher Certification with a specialty in yoga with children and Pre-Natal Yoga. My childcare philosophy is relationship driven. I believe in forging a strong connection with mutual respect and using Non-Violent Communication to resolve any conflicts. I love child led activities. I believe in play and natural consequences as learning tools. I use limits and balancing individual needs with group/family needs rather than discipline. I am imaginative, yet practical. Free and fair. I would love to meet you and your family!

"When we hired Amani, we felt like we hit the jackpot. We were very lucky to find her on UrbanSitter at the beginning of school year. She was picking up kids from school, taking them to afternoon activities, helping them with assignments. She prepped food for them, helped organize their closets and keep their spaces neat and orderly. We would hire her again in a heartbeat."
