Hello! I’m a childhood educator and nanny of 15 years. My backgrounds include early childhood education and developmental psychology. I encourage play centric environments. Some of my favorites are sensory play, crafting, STEM experiments, cooking with others, or an outdoor adventure for the day. I am comfortable aiding in potty training, developmental milestones, baby lead weaning, food sensitivities, and speech progression. I believe in creative curiosity as the foundation of interaction. I have ample experience from infancy to teens, with up to date CPR and first aid certifications. I also work in special needs communities. I grew up in Thornton, Colorado and have been working with/babysitting kids since I was 12 years old (23 now). When I was younger, I trained in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for 3 years and coached little kids ages 3-12 for a year, including classes and summer camps. I have had children around me my whole life and truly enjoy the light they bring. I have a degree in psychology with minors in creative writing and business, all of which honestly come in handy when spending time and communicating with the little ones! I always have fun with them making sure to abide by the parents wants first and always try to make a connection with both the child and the parent as I believe this is incredibly important. Interacting with children has always been one of my strengths and I am excited to meet some new faces and go on new adventures!

Hii families! My name is Quiyara, I am a sophomore at the University of Colorado at Boulder studying Integrative Physiology, a declared study of pre-PA, and a minor in philosophy. I am officially apart of the AdventHealth Medical Assistant team and I am alsoin the process of obtaining my certification as a postpartum doula. I have babysat siblings and younger cousins all throughout high school and I have 2 years of professional babysitting experience from as young as 4 months to 7 years old. I have also worked as a Child and Youth Mentor with Pikes Peak Respite Services and I currently volunteer at the Children Hospital in Aurora CO. For my future plans, I am continuing my studies at CU Boulder and plan to go to PA school and become a physician assistant in Obstetrics and Gynecology. I'm passionate about becoming an OBGYN PA because 1) my desire to help women through the most vulnerable/emotional period of their lives, 2) I believe all women of every background should be properly education on their reproductive health and sexual health and 3) seeing new life being brought into this world and being able to help parents upbring their children into great human beings brings me great joy!

I have over 17 years in both Elementary Teaching and Early Childhood Education. I miss the chance to use the skills learned over years while I am currently at home. I am kind, positive, and set expectations and boundaries where needed. I take the natural opportunities to teach interpersonal and problem solving skills, as well as academic skills. I have many years experience working with ages newborn and up. I taught Early Childhood, 2nd and 4th grades. I've created childcare worker training for a previous job that did not have any and have taken CPR/First Aid/Universal Precautions trainings many times as well as car seat trainings. I am CPR & First Aid certified. I do not smoke anything at all, do not use any kind of drug & have a clean driving record. I take the responsibility of your child's safety and care very seriously. I will work to protect them physically and with what they are exposed to on tv, social media or otherwise. I am flexible and don't get rattled easily. The first year of my sons life was my favorite, though I find great joys with all ages. I have worked with a variety of special needs.
