Hi, I’m Gracie! I am 27 years old and have over 10 years of experience working with children. I started out volunteering in after school care when I was a teenager. My passion for childcare began early in life, as I found myself the older sister to 5 wonderful younger siblings. Most of my younger siblings are over 10 years younger than me, so I began to help out with their care from an early age. Doing so helped spark my desire to go into childcare professionally. I have also worked a lead teacher for an elementary after school program in Fulton county, as a teaching artist for a theatre education and outreach program in Atlanta, and as an in-home nanny/babysitter for various families for the past 10 years. I have professional experience with children of all ages (infants - teens), and I am also able to help with housekeeping duties, pet care, and homework/tutoring if needed. I am currently open to occasional/date night, part-time, or full time jobs. I am hoping to work with a small pool of families so that I am able to focus on forging strong connections with you and your children! I am also open to working with only one family if it is the right fit for both of us. My approach: In my work, it is key for me to connect with each child as an individual. I am a firm believer that children should be treated as people with their own interests, likes, and dislikes, and that these things should be respected and honored. For that reason, I do my best to tailor my approach to each child and the ways that they learn best. That being said, I love to engage with children through creativity. I love to do activities that involve storytelling, crafts, music, and more. My long term goals include pursuing my PhD as well as my personal acting and writing goals, while also continuing to work in theatre education and outreach. Hi ☺️ My name is Brijea, but you can call me Bri. I’m 26 years old and currently a Junior at GGC majoring in Early Childhood Education. I’m also a certified paraprofessional, RBT and a proud mom of a 5-year-old son, so caregiving and working with others is a natural part of my everyday life. I have extensive hands-on experience in caregiving across all ages. I grew up helping in my grandmother’s daycare, and over the years I’ve cared for children in a wide variety of settings, including serving as a live-in nanny, working in multiple early childhood centers, and supporting elementary-aged students in classroom environments. In addition, I am a PCA and have worked in assisted living facilities, as well as provided senior care for my grandmother and two other seniors in my community. This has given me a strong understanding of patience, routine, safety, and compassionate care. I’ve also worked with countless families through my church and school community, giving me experience with individuals of all ages, abilities, and personalities. I have worked with children in school and as nanny or babysitter. I love supporting growth at every stage of life—whether that’s helping young learners reach milestones or providing companionship and support to seniors. I started taking care of children in Florida at my moms daycare. I helped out with basically everything. From newborns diapers to a pre-teens homework assignments.
