Hello!! I’m Christy and I’m 18 years old, I graduated from yorkville high school and currently in community college. I am offering child care and pet care! Although I’m young, I feel I have obtained experience through my family, from having 5 siblings as well as nephews. I have also took care of cats and dogs throughout my years. I would love to share my skills, if needed, including tennis, cooking/baking, crafting, and reading! I’m able to help with chores and other activities/ tasks with kids or pets. I am certified as a lifeguard so I am CPR certified, as well as First Aid training and Heimlich training. I have my license as well!

I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and have over 10 years of experience with babysitting children of all ages from infancy to 10 years old of age. I also have experience nannying and teaching children. During Covid, I nannied and tutored two preschool/kindergarten children 5 days per several weeks and had created a preschool like atmosphere in their home while I came up with lesson plans, circle time, and various of other fun activities and crafts. I have 2 years of experience being a lead teacher aide in a home-based daycare. For the last 5 years I have worked as a Case Manager for individuals with developmental disabilities and am a certified Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP). I'm also certified in adult and infant CPR and first Aid. I also have a couple years of experience in professional Caregiving for seniors. I have experience in dog sitting and cat sitting as well. A bit about me...I studied cinematography as an undergraduate at Southern Illinois University where I directed and edited short films and later transferred to Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL to obtain my Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. I am a recent college graduate with my most recent experience being with children ages 2-3. I have always loved working with children and find myself being able to connect with children of all ages very quickly. I am reliable, organized, and very patient. I attended Purdue University and majored in elementary education. I student taught 7 out of 8 semesters, working with students in grades Kindergarten-5th grade!
