Hi, My name is Ca’Mari, and I am a college student at Metropolitan community college with a strong passion for working with children and helping them feel safe, supported, and cared for. My long term goal is to become a pediatric oncology nurse. I currently work at the YMCA in a before and after school care position, where I get to work with children, keep them engaged, and create a safe and positive environment for them. I also had the opportunity to complete a one-day internship at University Health in an OBGYN setting, where I was able to see healthcare professionals work directly with patients and learn more about compassionate patient care. I would describe myself as patient, caring, responsible, and easy to communicate with. I’m someone who genuinely enjoys being around children, learning their personalities, keeping them entertained, and making sure they feel comfortable.
