Hi there! My name is Danielle, and I’m a 34-year-old mom and lifelong childcare professional. I’ve been working with children since I was 14 years old — from babysitting in my teens to working in licensed childcare facilities and nannying for wonderful families over the years. Caring for kids has always been more than just a job for me; it’s my passion and my purpose. I’m also a proud mom of two amazing little girls, ages 4 and 6, who are truly my favorite people on the planet. They keep me laughing, learning, and reminded every day of how fun and magical childhood can be. A few years ago, I wrote and published a children’s book called “Sabreena Takes Her Medicine.” I created it for my daughter during a tough time when I couldn’t find any comforting or encouraging books about taking medicine. It’s a story that helps kids understand the importance of caring for their health — and it’s one of my proudest accomplishments. Until recently, I worked at a drop-in daycare that I absolutely adore. Unfortunately, due to budget cuts, my hours were reduced — but I’m excited to keep doing what I love most: supporting children’s growth, creativity, and confidence. I recently renewed my Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification, so safety is always a top priority. Beyond that, I love bringing creativity and movement into each day — whether it’s arts and crafts, sensory play, or a fun yoga and movement session. I’ve even taught children’s yoga classes and love watching kids light up as they move their bodies and use their imaginations. I’m comfortable with kids of all ages and truly believe every stage of childhood is special. My goal is always to create a nurturing, safe, and fun environment where children can explore, learn, and just be themselves. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me — I can’t wait to meet your family! Warmly, Danielle

When you were a kid, do you remember a friend of yours whose mom always made you feel comfortable? Danielle is that mom. She will care for your child while giggling with them and keeping them entertained. Danielle covered daycare for us 2 days when our normal daycare provider was out and she was amazing. I was working from home, and I would come out of my office for lunch to see that my child had already eaten and was chatting with Danielle about their day. On the second day, I invited her to bring her daughters over because my daughter is always excited for other children to play with and they had a blast. Her kids are so sweet and helpful! Her oldest even helped my 2 year old up and down the stairs so they could go outside and play multiple times during the day. 10 out of 10, would book Danielle again!

Lu lu was wonderful with my three kiddos ( 5, 4, and 4 months). She kept them engaged doing fun activities, playing games, and going to the park while I worked from home and took one of my kiddos to appointments. She has a positive and nurturing demeanor and really enjoys kiddos. My kids had a blast and did not want her to leave. My son asked if she could come back tomorrow. My baby was all smiles and giggles with her. We will definitely hire again.

$15 per hour for 1 child

I am finishing up my junior year of college at Kansas State University while majoring in Human Development and Family Science while having a passion for helping others. I have always grown up with a dog and have a very energetic 3 year old wheaten terrier at home when frequent visits from my older siblings cat. I grew up spending lots of time outside playing soccer, going on bike rides, swimming, and playing with neighbors. Last summer I was a part-time caretaker providing safe transportation services for an individual with autism (non-verbal) and being a friendly face for him when he needed a friend. I would love to spend more time with kids exploring their imagination and interest while providing a safe and loving environment for them.

"When we hired Amani, we felt like we hit the jackpot. We were very lucky to find her on UrbanSitter at the beginning of school year. She was picking up kids from school, taking them to afternoon activities, helping them with assignments. She prepped food for them, helped organize their closets and keep their spaces neat and orderly. We would hire her again in a heartbeat."
