I began baby sitting outside the house as a teenager and continued to work as a Nanny or Au pair through my twenties. In my 30's I began co parenting with my siblings and watching everyone's kids. I am a trained art teacher and have taught art to up to 30 children at a time all through my life. More recently I work as an art teacher for Art Klub and Camp 504. I am a playful, creative, compassionate care taker of all creatures young, old and furry.

Hi I’m Ralph. I really enjoy working with kids and currently working at Renew Early childhood Education School as a teacher assistant. My main job is basically to assist the teacher with a smooth daily running of the class. Also taught Sunday school for over 20 years age group 4 till 12. Hey all. I graduated from Tulane in May 2024, and after a year of traveling and nannying, am back in New Orleans for the forseeable future! I am super passionate about working with kids, and am looking to find awesome families to nanny for when I move back. My schedule is currently very flexible, and I am interested in both full-time and part-time work (occasional babysitting okay too. E.g. date night, sick day). I have my own transport. 
I have extensive experience (8+ years), which includes working with newborns up to age 14, children with special needs (both verbal and nonverbal), multiples (e.g. siblings with large age gaps, twins), tutoring up to grade six, and a specialty in keeping toddlers in check (success varies depending on length of nap- lol). I also create DIY "summer camps" for kids. My most recent endeavor included keeping eight five-year-olds entertained for days at a time (activities, park, pool, crafts, positive engagement). I take a play-based, screen-free approach to nannying and easily adapt my techniques based on parents' specifications and the child's needs. I believe in holding boundaries while also holding space for very real feelings (E.g., "No, we cannot get ice cream, and I know that's sad. It's okay to flop down on the ground, cry, and feel angry. Take your time, I am here.") AED and CPR (infant, child, adult) certified. I have a ton of references, from New Orleans and elsewhere, and can share the most relevant ones with you (based on age, need of child, etc).

I am a parent whom is great with children and their friends. I am personable, respectful and an excellent cook. I can clean adequately and have a very good sense of boundaries and a knack for overcoming minor issues. I have the mechanical abilities and growing skillsets to provide top tier service with a smile. My children are 17, 13, and 10 and currently live abroad. I work mornings so I have time to utilize in the evening. Empty nest syndrome is bringing me to expand my vast skills where they might prove useful. I have experience and patience with dogs, cats, fish, frogs, insects etc. I love dogs just can't have any but I offer part-time love for them.
