Hi, I’m Amel (uh-mel)! I’m 18 and live in the Laurel/Fulton area. I’m currently attending HCC, where I’m studying pediatric nursing, so working with children is something I’m truly passionate about. I love being around kids and have lots of hands-on experience caring for my younger brother, cousins, and family friends. I’m comfortable caring for children of many different ages, from toddlers to grade-schoolers, and I always try to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while they’re with me. I’d describe myself as fun, bubbly, loving, and responsible, and I enjoy finding ways to keep kids entertained while also making sure they’re well cared for. Outside of school and babysitting, some of my hobbies include drawing, painting, cooking, gaming, and spending time outdoors. Hi! My name is Naomi. I graduated from the University of Maryland in 2023. I nannied for 2 families consistently in MD while in college and have been working corporate since then. Before moving to MD I lived in California for the first part of my life, including high school, during which I worked with children for about four years. I did child care for Southlands Church for many years and was requested to work with families based off of my work with their kids during that job. I spent years working with the same kids, watching them grow up and developing relationships with them. I’ve always loved child care. Working with kids, learning more about them, their quirks and senses of humor and watching them develop into little humans. It’s so important to invest into kids lives to make them feel important and loved and I find a lot of value in being a part of that.

I have been working with kids for a very long time with family and outside of family. I love having fun and also being open and experiencing New things. I have also worked with a summer camp (Therapeutic Recreation) with kids with disabilities so I am open and willing to work with all types of kids.
