Hi! I’m Fae, a Towson University graduate with 5+ years of childcare experience, including 3 years as a Pre-K teacher and 2 years as a K–5 substitute. I’m patient, calm, and genuinely love helping children learn, grow, and feel safe. A couple fun facts: I love the outdoors, dancing, and I currently volunteer in the pediatric ICU department at GBMC where I’m able to do and create activities with kiddies during their stay. I’m also a shift leader at the Baltimore Hunger Project where we help provide meals to students in BCPS who aren’t fortunate enough on the weekends. I love animals & have a 5 year old shih-tzu myself and spend some Saturday mornings doing dog enrichment at BARCS since caring for others is truly my heart! I have 5 children and 2 grandchildren. I did home daycare for 5 years. When my children were young, I taught Sunday school for 5 years & pre-school for 8 years. I was a Director of the pre-school for 5 years. I also took care of 2 elderly people. The woman I helped her during the summer while she was recovering from a heart attack. I was with the gentleman for approximately 4 years until he passed away.

My earliest childcare experience comes from assisting my mother in her daycare, where I helped care for children of different ages on a daily basis. My responsibilities included supervising playtime, supporting learning activities, helping with meals and routines, maintaining a safe environment, and ensuring children were engaged in positive, age-appropriate activities. This experience taught me patience, responsibility, consistency, and how to manage multiple children while maintaining safety and structure. In addition to daycare experience, I have volunteered with Special Reach, an organization that supports children with disabilities. Through this work, I gained valuable experience working with children with diverse physical, developmental, and emotional needs. This taught me how to adapt my communication style, be more attentive to individual needs, and provide a calm, supportive, and encouraging environment where every child feels included and understood. I am currently a college student at Morgan State University majoring in Sports Administration and I am also a collegiate athlete. My experience as a student-athlete has strengthened my leadership, discipline, teamwork, time management, and ability to perform in fast-paced environments. I understand responsibility and accountability, especially when managing schedules, academics, athletics, and work simultaneously. Growing up in a household where I was the first Grandchild, I automatically became a Deputy parent for my siblings, cousins etc. I have raised every child that came after me and the beauty of it is that we had a daycare at home. I am passionate about taking care of children, it’s more of a passion for me, the beauty of getting to see them grow in front of me and be involved in all developmental stages warms up my heart even more.
