Growing up with six siblings taught me a lot about responsibility, patience, and being someone younger kids can look up to. As one of the older siblings of 7, I helped raised and care for three of them, which gave me experience with children long before I started working in childcare professionally. For the past two years, I've worked as a Child Care Assistant (CCA) with Adventures Plus (A+) in the Anoka Hennepin School District. I've worked with children ages 5-12, from kindergarten through sixth grade, in both the school year and summer programs. My experience has taught me how to create a fun and safe environment while also understanding that every child has their own personality, needs, and way of learning. I would describe myself as outgoing, funny, patient, understanding, kind, and dependable. I love getting to know kids and finding activities that match their interests and personalities. I'm also very creative and artistic, so I enjoy doing crafts, making things, and playing games. Outside of childcare, I love school and learning, reading, swimming, working out, animals, fashion, cooking, and baking. I believe I started watching kids when I was 15. My mom's friends who lived in our apartments. They paid me too! I have always enjoyed children, I took extra curricular classes based on Early Childhood learning and education, Family parenting/planning classes also. We had to have an electronic baby to take home and care for, one week total. It was crazy. I passed with an A. I then went on to a few daycare's and nanny positions after High school. Step by Step, And college Nannies and tutors. I Have been CPR & first aide certified three times. I was also a nursing assistant for elderly and home care. That has helped a lot with experience. I am a very loving and caring individual. I take care of and help any child in need like they are my own. I have experience with children newborn - elderly.
