Booked by 2 families in Elmhurst, NY

Hi my name is Marisol G. Ii was currently working for a family of two wonderful children a 9 year old girl and 10 year old boy. I worked for the Gomaz family since the youngest was one year old I have taken care of them as if they where my own. I'm a mother of five wonderful children 19 - 28 I'm very out going playful and fun. I also taught Montessori teaching to 5 - 7 year old children. I am CPR and First Aid certified. I have 20 years experience and references from families I have worked for. Thank you for considering an interview.

“Marisol cared for my two children for approximately a decade. She cared for them as if they were her own children- giving them love, support, structure, entertainment, and education as appropriate. Early on working 12+ hours a day and as the kids got older closer working less. She was always flexible throughout the years as my children’s needs changed. From caring for infants to supporting the development of pre-teens she was like family. Anyone would be lucky to have Marisol care for your children. She has also raised 5 of the most amazing children which is a testament to her parenting skills.”

Imani $18 per hour for 1 child

A Bit About Me – My Journey in Childcare Back in 2017, I found myself stepping into the world of childcare, mostly curious (and a little excited) about the fun, messy, and unpredictable world of daycare. What started as just a job quickly turned into something more—I realized how much I genuinely enjoy being around kids and helping them grow. That spark led me to enroll at Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn to study childhood education more seriously. For about 3.5 years, I wore a lot of different hats in daycares—everything from assistant teacher to lead teacher—working with little ones as young as 6 months all the way up to 5 years old. After that, I shifted gears a bit and spent a year in afterschool programs with the older kids (ages 5 to 13) as a group leader. I’ve also been a helping hand for a few families on the side, stepping in whenever they’ve needed extra support. What I love most are the everyday moments with the kids—the silly laughs, the unexpected questions, the small wins that mean everything. No two days are ever the same, and that’s what keeps it exciting. For me, it’s all about being part of a child’s journey, watching them grow, and knowing I played even a small part in it.

"When we hired Amani, we felt like we hit the jackpot. We were very lucky to find her on UrbanSitter at the beginning of school year. She was picking up kids from school, taking them to afternoon activities, helping them with assignments. She prepped food for them, helped organize their closets and keep their spaces neat and orderly. We would hire her again in a heartbeat."
