8 things every child needs to hear: 1. I love you no matter what. 2. I am proud of you. 3. I'm sorry. 4. I forgive you. 5. I am listening to you. 6. This is your responsibility. 7. You can do it! 8. I understand you. Hi! My name is Lizzy. I have worked as a Special Education Aide in the classroom at Palo Alto Unified School District, a Teacher's Assistant at Bridge the Gap College Prep, and a summer school Math teacher in the Marin City School District. I also worked in the nursery at Redeemer Presbyterian. I studied Leadership and Management at NYU and I am looking to quit my job in tech to take a year off from corporate. I will be available starting September 2nd! I would describe myself as empathetic, energetic, and creative. Hope to speak with you soon! :)

Hello Families, My name is Angela, and I am from Colombia. I am graduate student in Public Health. I have been caring for children for the past 18 years. I am CPR/First Aid certified and possess a California driver's license. I am current on all my vaccines. I am also a certified Postpartum Doula with over 13 years of experience. My philosophy is to support the baby, the mom, and the family in creating a balanced and loving environment. I am highly dedicated to my work and take it seriously. I enjoy activities such as engaging in art projects, visiting parks, museums, and zoos, going for walks, and baking with children. I appreciate parents who provide clear instructions for their children's routines, set boundaries, and communicate effectively. One preference I have is that children usually stay away from screens while with me, except on weekends, although I respect if parents prefer otherwise. Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions!

Absolutely wonderful!!!

Hello! My name is Evelyn. I’m 27 years old and a caring, reliable, and professional babysitter with over six years of experience working with children. I am currently pursuing my MBA at Baruch College in New York after earning my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. My studies gave me a deeper understanding of child development, family dynamics, communication, and social behavior, which helps me better understand each child’s unique needs and build positive relationships with both children and parents. After attending college and working with children for three years, I proudly served four years in the U.S. Army, where I strengthened my leadership, responsibility, patience, and organizational skills. My military experience helped me become calm under pressure, dependable, and adaptable, qualities that I bring to every family I work with. Caring for children has always been my passion, and I love creating a safe, happy, and engaging environment through play, learning, and positive interaction. In my free time, I enjoy working out, reading, cooking, and staying organized. Spanish is my first language, and I’m happy to speak Spanish with children if parents would like to introduce or reinforce the language at home. I’m proud to have many wonderful reviews and repeat families. References are available upon request.

Evelyn was so nice and sweet with our baby :)

A little about myself — My name is Amanda (it’s also my legal name alongside my Burmese) I’m a Design&Tech student at Parsons; I took a gap year before I got to New York and spent the year doing community service by teaching English to underprivileged/orphaned kids in Burma, along with several law internships (big leap between left&right brain). Over the years I’ve found that not only do I get along with children, I’m also the floofy-lucid-dreamy person among my friends haha. I like to think I’m very easygoing and fun to be around and I’m very good with playing along the lines of silly & stern. I spend most of my time with kids (if we’re indoors) talking to them, asking many many questions, and always making them feel like their voices are heard as a person and not just as a child, but of course I’ve also always been a sporty person so we usually go on adventures around the city and play sports!! I love drawing from these experiences and using them in my creative conceptual work as well. I’m also a HUGE reader, and it’s part of the package that you may lose your children to the harry potter cult. P.S. Once I dropped a bowl of fudge in front of a kid, and I said, “Oh fudge” which shows that I am child appropriate AND have a sense of humor.

"When we hired Amani, we felt like we hit the jackpot. We were very lucky to find her on UrbanSitter at the beginning of school year. She was picking up kids from school, taking them to afternoon activities, helping them with assignments. She prepped food for them, helped organize their closets and keep their spaces neat and orderly. We would hire her again in a heartbeat."
