Hello, I'm Xiomara. I absolutely adore working with children. I have experience with babies; toddlers and pre-school age, as well as pre- teens in an academic setting. I am sweet, nurturing and very caring. Parents and teachers I have worked with describe me as warm, very patient, kind, empathetic and enthusiastic. I started working with children, and families, when I was 18 years old. I treat children with love as if they were my own. I am intuitive and attentive to all aspects of a infant needs, from diaper changes to being bottle fed, cuddles, tummy time, nap time to making healthy purées. I also love to read, speak and sing to them throughout the day. With older kids, I promote fun and positivity, safety and encourage a child's natural talent. I can also prepare healthy food, keep kids engaged in play, and read stories while giving voices to each character! I love to arrange play dates, help children meet & make new friends, as well as introduce them to their surroundings, neighborhood & nature. A little about myself — My name is Amanda (it’s also my legal name alongside my Burmese) I’m a Design&Tech student at Parsons; I took a gap year before I got to New York and spent the year doing community service by teaching English to underprivileged/orphaned kids in Burma, along with several law internships (big leap between left&right brain). Over the years I’ve found that not only do I get along with children, I’m also the floofy-lucid-dreamy person among my friends haha. I like to think I’m very easygoing and fun to be around and I’m very good with playing along the lines of silly & stern. I spend most of my time with kids (if we’re indoors) talking to them, asking many many questions, and always making them feel like their voices are heard as a person and not just as a child, but of course I’ve also always been a sporty person so we usually go on adventures around the city and play sports!! I love drawing from these experiences and using them in my creative conceptual work as well. I’m also a HUGE reader, and it’s part of the package that you may lose your children to the harry potter cult. P.S. Once I dropped a bowl of fudge in front of a kid, and I said, “Oh fudge” which shows that I am child appropriate AND have a sense of humor.

Hello everyone! My name is Marieme and this spring I just graduated from NYU with my master’s in public health. I am fully vaccinated and did receive the booster, so safety first is big on my end! I’ve decided to babysit during times I dont have class so my availability is open and subject to change. I am extremely friendly and I’m definitely a people-person. I am great with kids and I have lots of experience. I am an older sister to two, so I am naturally good at looking after children.
