My experience working with youth started at my very first job. During my early years of high school I worked for my local YMCA's Youth Center, a facility that was available to youth after school ranging from first to twelfth grade. I also participated with helping day camp, a sort of 'daycare' for slightly older children. I have experience taking care of my younger siblings from the ages of 2-8, and currently help with babysitting my newborn (3 mo) niece. I have previously attained my CPR and first-aid certifications, and are currently looking for a class to renew them. I have grown up and taken care of animals my entire life, including dogs and cats, guinea pigs, turtles, fish, and geckos. I have always loved being around animals and taking care for them, and fully believe in their consciousness and heart to feel emotion, no matter how small. I enjoy cooking and baking in my spare time, often trying new recipes for others. I am strictly vegetarian, but do not refrain from cooking meat, as I believe it is not wise to be limited due to one's own taste. I enjoy the arts, whether it be painting, drawing, or musical. Some other hobbies of mine include teaching myself piano, reading, and swimming. As a person I am light-hearted and enjoy helping others, yet there are times when I believe a serious attitude is called for in order to keep others safe. I am reliable, on-time, and always strive to perform my job to the best of my ability.

Hi :) I am Keiona, I am 18 and currently just graduated high school this past May. I am enrolled in online classes to become a medical assistant. I enjoy child care because it has been around me my whole life. I am a child of 5 from a single mother. I am the only girl and tended to the children when mom had to work from babies to now in middle school & high school. Also other family members paid me for watch their children as well! In high school I was a varsity athlete, scholar and apart of Big Brother Big Sister! Which is a child program where I tended to a kid every semester! I am fun, outgoing but also patient and calm!
