Hello dear families! I am dependable and dedicated babysitter that’s been babysitting since I was 14. I went on a few mission trips to orphanages and helped out with kids, I also was a dedicated helper at a Sunday school for years. Flexible and adaptable to any circumstance that babysitting will offer, please don’t hesitate to ask more questions. Oh, and I just love children, I think I got that from being the oldest that comes from a big friendly family! I am here to make your day just a little more relaxed and joyful.

Jill $15 per hour for 1 child

I grew up in a family of 5 and I’m the middle child, we all have children and I’m surrounded by children. I love to cook, I’m a very good cook and grocery shopper as well! I love children. I have 2 grandchildren and they are the light of my light. I helped raise them until they moved to Oklahoma when they were 9 and 11. I cooked, cleaned, took them to church, school, helped with homework, all the extra things their Mom needed help with. My mother lived with me the last 5 years of her life. She was sick the last 2. She was on home hospice with me the last 6 months of her life and I was her caregiver. When I was in my early 20’s I was a CNA in a couple of nursing homes, so I knew what to do. I took the last year of work off to be with her. I loved taking care of her. I’m a very loving Christian woman and I would love to take care of your family. I love dogs too and I’m happy to pet sit as well! I have decided to not go back to high pressure sales and be of service to a nice family that needs a nice older woman that has some energy and experience.

Kristi 2 reviews
$25 per hour for 1 child

I’m a loving and committed teacher with years of experience teaching and working with children ages birth to 6 in a variety of settings. I was the owner and provider of Early Years Development Center for many years, I also worked in preschools and infant toddler programs over 10 years in the greater Portland Metropolitan area. I have an Associates degree in Early childhood education, current CPR/ First aid. I have taken many trainings related to the field including Safe back to sleep, I have a passion for Early Childhood learning and play, and learning and discovering new things. I love animals, travel, reading, walking and my Corgi dog Lucy!

“Kristi was my children's favorite daycare/preschool teacher! My children are now 7 and 3 years old, and Kristi cared for them from ages 3 years and 3 months, respectively. Kristi was quick to establish a trusting relationship with both children. She fostered bonds through play, kindness, and sensitivity to each child’s personality and needs. Kristi was always the first to offer engagement and comfort when we walked through the door in the morning. Her proactive, upbeat attitude always helped make transitions easier on everyone and won the kids over in the process. We always felt secure leaving our infant in Kristi’s capable and experienced hands. We also appreciated Kristi’s consistent and clear communication. She was our best source for funny anecdotes about our kids, issues that we should track at home, photos of the kids’ daily activities, and generally keeping us in the loop. We are so grateful to have had Kristi be there with our kids and for our kids over the past four years- we highly recommend her!”

Hey, I’m Teara! I am outgoing and fun. I like to do arts and crafts, story time, creative/messy games outside(depending on their preferences for weather, of course!) and am always open to trying/learning new thing to do with kids! I am a great communicator and willing give updates throughout the day. I’ve always enjoyed being around kids, along with animals. I love to watch them learn, develop new skills, question things or explain in ways we as adults don’t often think of and watching them find new interests. I have worked with kids for almost 10 years ranging from infants(2mo) -to preteens (12-13). I also have experience and am confident in my abilities when working with multiple young children at once. (1:4 ratio from ages 3 months- 2 years old) I started out with home babysitting for my family then eventually turned into family nannying for other families near me. I have continued to nanny part time for a few families over the last 10 years. Eventually, I found a daycare part time while in HS. & Also worked at a Child Development Center as the Wobbler Assistant & Lead Toddler Teacher for over six years. I have two kiddos of my own- 5 and 3! I’ve recently taken a step back from working in a childcare setting (I definitely still try to stay updated and informed on trainings and child developmental info being learned/taught to teachers and caregivers) and just been taking on part time, last minute, date night gigs! However, I am open to something consistent if it seems like a great fit for everyone. My love and passion for kids has always been there. I continue to do trainings, learn about development and stay up to date on all the child info :) I am also COVID cautious; fully vaccinated, willing to wear a mask, and limiting my exposures. •Meal prep •Homework help •School drop off/pick up •Background check completed •TB test cleared •CPR first aid, blood borne pathogens, & HIV/AIDS certified •Food handlers card •Recognizing/reporting abuse/neglect •Clean driving record, Safe car •Health & Safety •RIE •PBIS I am looking forward to meeting new families through this site & helping out as much as possible.

"When we hired Amani, we felt like we hit the jackpot. We were very lucky to find her on UrbanSitter at the beginning of school year. She was picking up kids from school, taking them to afternoon activities, helping them with assignments. She prepped food for them, helped organize their closets and keep their spaces neat and orderly. We would hire her again in a heartbeat."
