Hello! I am a former 6-12th grade teacher going back to school for nursing. I am looking for occasional or part time work on the days that I don’t have classes. My formal experience with children includes teaching middle school and high school, as well as summer camp with preschool to middle school aged children, and as an educational assistant for a special needs program. Although it has been awhile since I officially offered childcare, I grew up taking care of four younger siblings as well as foster children. I did often babysit for families with multiple children of different ages throughout high school and am looking to start again. I am comfortable with children of all ages, and am happy to help with light household chores and pets if needed. As a former teacher, I have a lot of experience with lesson planning and engaging kids in science (and other subjects too) regardless of their age and I would be happy to implement this in any childcare position. Looking forward to connecting with you!
Hi! I go by Nyxie (they/them/fae). I bring over 15 years of experience caring for children from infancy through the teen years, including roles as a nanny, babysitter, ESL teacher, special needs tutor, and current preschool program assessor. I am CPR and First Aid certified, bilingual in English and Spanish, and conversational in French and Mandarin Chinese. My approach to caregiving is child-led, trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and play-based. I enjoy creating engaging, developmentally supportive experiences through outdoor play, art, reading, healthy cooking, and mindfulness activities. I strive to foster independence, emotional regulation, and a strong sense of safety and belonging in every child I work with. For work-from-home families, I value clear communication and collaboration. I do my best work when trusted to take the lead during scheduled hours, as consistency helps children feel secure and reduces confusion. My goal is always to create a warm, joyful, and supportive environment where your child can thrive.
Hi! My name is Erin and I'm the oldest of three kids and a recent(ish) college grad. I'm offering child care, pet care, and household services. I have experience working with babies and toddlers in a childcare setting, elementary school-age children in a sleep-away camp setting, and high schoolers in a residential dorm setting. I have a compassionate and collaborative approach to conflict resolution that prioritizes sensitivity and empathy to anyone I'm interacting with. I've led children in arts and crafts, games, and intentional conversations, which would translate well into taking children to the playground, on walks, or helping with homework. My pet sitting experience so far as been with cats and dogs (check in visits, feeding, walks, and clean up), but I'm definitely open to working with other pets. For household services, I can cook, clean, do laundry, and lightly organize.
Hi, my name is Charmaine. I've been working with children since I was 13 and truly love doing it! I started by babysitting for kids in my neighborhood. At 16 started working part time as a helper at a daycare center. I was a principal of the same daycare for 2 years and now a full time nanny looking for babysitting opportunities. I've worked with kids of all ages, I am infant qualified and know CPR and first aid. I am also a Household manager and will do parents and kids laundry, look after pets, prepare all meals, willing to do all household chores and can swim. Fully vaccinated and boosted
As an educated and experienced early childhood professional, I know how to make the most of teachable moments in everyday experiences. I spent my first career working with children and families in various educational settings, with children from birth through the teenage years, and understand the critical development happening during these different stages. Now I work as a family therapist, and I love to provide babysitting services as a way of staying connected to my roots! I enjoy getting to know each child as an individual, and creating the best environment for them. I have worked with children, teens, and young adults with varying needs, including children with autism, Down syndrome, epilepsy, asthma, and moderate to severe behavioral diagnoses. I am comfortable with and trained to administer medications, including epi-pens. I have experience with cloth diapering, baby led weaning, and various parenting styles- it’s important for me to connect with the way you prefer your child to be interacted with.
“Liza is incredible. Our kid, who is a little shy, took to her immediately. She has an amazing energy about her, and clearly loves children. Highly recommend!”

"UrbanSitter is my go-to for quality sitters! I can book weeks ahead of time or easily find a same-day sitter when in a bind. I even hired a part-time nanny during a daycare transition. Customer service is helpful and babysitters respond in a timely manner."
