I am a mother of 3. my daughter is 18 and my son is 6 and my other daughter is 2. my parents did foster care when I was younger, so I was exposed to all sorts of people and kids. I babysat for years, worked at a daycare and helped with many kids programs in my area and community. I love to be silly and creative.

I am a Portland native and I worked as a teacher for 4 years. I graduated with my BA from Lewis & Clark College and earned my MAT at the University of Portland. I am currently a volunteer on the board of a nonprofit and am starting up a small online business with an old friend. I enjoy soccer, hiking, singing with my gospel choir, teaching Girl Scouts how to sew, and I’m currently renovating a vintage Airstream. I started baby-sitting as a ten-year-old, and have since worked with children of all ages. Most of my experience is with elementary school age kids, but I love babies and toddlers as well. After graduating college I spent a year in France teaching English to French high schoolers. Before doing that I was a reading tutor and baby sat for many wonderful families, including families with autistic and ADHD sons. I have also worked as a skills coach for developmentally disabled adults and feel comfortable working with kids of different ability levels. My motto as a caregiver is patients, compassion, and most importantly having fun will make everyone's experience great. Hi! My name is Hanna. I’m a graduate college student with a degree in English, currently living in Northeast Portland. I come from a big, loving family with four rowdy brothers, so I’m no stranger to energetic households! My childcare experience began in high school, where I spent my junior and senior years nannying a toddler with fetal alcohol syndrome. It was some of the most challenging, yet rewarding, work I’ve ever done. Since then, I’ve cared for children ranging from infants to middle schoolers. At my local church, I’ve volunteered in nursery care, taught classes, and mentored middle school students over the years. I also worked closely with special needs students in high school—participating in P.E. classes, supporting talent shows, and building strong, inclusive friendships. Currently, I work as a substitute teacher and also as a barista at Starbucks, where I love greeting people with a smile and helping make their day a little brighter.
