Hello, my name is Stella! I’m a preschool teacher, which I absolutely love! I plan to pursue early elementary teaching and begin a teacher credentialing program in the near future. I’ve worked with children for nearly a decade and truly love what I do. I have experience working with children ages 14 months to 10 years old, though I currently lead teach 3-year-olds. I also have a bachelor’s degree in psychology from University of California, Santa Cruz, which has helped shape my understanding of child development and behavior. I love animals and have three of my own, so I’m more than happy to work with families who have pets. I am CPR and First Aid certified, have my own transportation, and can provide references. Hi! My name is Zaylee, and I'm a student going into my junior year at the University of Oregon. I love working with children and enjoy creating a safe, fun, and positive environment where they can learn, play, and feel comfortable. One of my most valuable experiences was working as an aide at Moss Street Children's Center in Eugene, where I cared for children ages 1–5. I assisted in multiple classrooms, supported daily routines, led activities, and learned how to meet the unique needs of children at different developmental stages. When I return to California during my school breaks, I babysit for a wonderful family who has continued to invite me back each summer and winter. Building that lasting relationship has been incredibly rewarding and has strengthened my passion for childcare. I'm also lucky to have four nieces and one nephew under the age of 12, so caring for children has always been a big part of my life. Whether we're doing crafts, reading books, playing outside, or helping with homework, I love keeping kids engaged while making sure they feel safe and supported. I'm CPR certified, have a current Food Handler's License, and have reliable transportation. In the past I have provided full-time summer care and part-time support during the school year for two children aged 1 and 5 until their family relocated. I managed all aspects of childcare, from changing diapers and tidying up to ensuring they had structured nap times and engaging in enriching art projects. I also briefly babysat one of the children when they were six months old. I also occasionally babysat a 7, 11 and 12 year old every couple weeks for a few hours. During this time me and the children would plan fun activities such as baking cookies and art as well as playing outside and reading. I was in charge of making their dinners which were coordinated with the parents and would get them ready for bed and put to sleep. During the summer I worked as a summer camp counselor at the YMCA for ages pre-k to 8th grade. During this time I would coordinate day plans with my Lead and assist in activities. Some of the camps I worked in were basketball, soccer, science, football, and cooking. My job included keeping the kids engaged, doing head counts, leading activities, ensuring campers safety, and coming up with quick solutions when plans were altered last minute. I also worked as an after school teacher for pre-k and elementary school children. During this time I organize snack and activity plans with coworkers as well as leading lesson plans. I would also keep head count, oversee playground time, follow our daily schedules, help with homework, and keep the children engaged.

I am a college student at UO studying political science and legal studies. I love writing, reading, going on walks, doing art (painting and ceramics), and watching movies! I am very patient and understanding, and have babysat kids ages 1-8, but i’m okay with all ages. I have been babysitting a few families back home (Santa Cruz, California) consistently, with the longest time with a family being 4 years. I am able to cook, clean, do laundry, bath time, change diapers, and am open to any other household duties. I am comfortable with any pets, and am able to feed and walk pets. I also have some experience both house and pet sitting.
