I have worked at an afterschool/summer program for 6 years (2 years volunteer, 4 years paid), looking after around 50 kids at a time. My roles there included chaperoning on daily park trips and weekly field trips, taking care of lunch and cleanup operations, as well as tutoring on math and English. My top priority is to always ensure the children are safe, but also to add some fun into their day! I understand that every child has different needs, so I’m always adapting and learning as I go. I can assist with cooking/meal prepping, cleaning, and running any errands as well if necessary. I also speak Mandarin and Cantonese!
