Hi Folks! My name is Diamond and I am a bay area native. Although I currently work in the legal field, my passion and love for caring for children tend to take over my evenings and weekends. I have over fifteen years of experience with children as I transitioned from a young sitter, to daycare employee, to personal family nanny for multiple families while in college. I am well versed with children ranging from newborn to teenagers. I currently work/serve as a Special Court Advocate (CASA) for abused and neglected foster youths in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2019. Many of the children that I've cared for have become like family, I believe in treating others how I would want to be treated or how I would want my own children to be treated. I take into account and note all guidelines that parents would like followed whether it be electronic use time or food restrictions due to diet or allergies. I pride myself on being an individual that parents can not only trust but want around their children in their absence.

I just graduated from school with my Doctorate in Occupational therapy and am looking for extra babysitting to help with paying off my student loans. I work in early childhood mental health and school-based OT. I got my undergraduate degree from Southern Oregon University in Ashland, Oregon, with a major in Theater, emphasis in set construction. I also have a minor in Early Childhood Development. Before COVID I worked at Cal Shakespeare in Berkeley/Orinda. I have been working with children for the past 18 years as a date night sitter, a nanny, a childcare worker, and a preschool teacher. I have experience with all ages. I am CPR certified, and I recently just refreshed my certification. I love working with all types of children. I've been babysitting children since I was 14, when I started watching over family friends' children. When I was 15 I started working at Strawberry Canyon Explorer Camp where I worked for 8 years teaching children ages 4-10. At camp I worked with kids one on one as well as in large groups. I've also spent years volunteering in local elementary schools. I love teaching and hope to be an elementary school teacher in a few years. I've primarily worked with kids ages 4-7 but have experience with older as well. I love bringing them outside and teaching them sports, as well as helping them with that tough math problem. My childcare journey began in 2009, when I worked as an Au Pair in the Netherlands for a wonderful family with a seven-year-old boy and a nine-year-old girl.
