Hello, Hola, Bonjour! My name is Sophia and I am a 33 years old childcare professional. My grandparents were from the Philippines and my grandma was from Staten Island, NY! With over 15 years of experience in childcare, including nannying, babysitting and work in preschool classrooms, I am passionate about creating a loving and nurturing environment for children. Currently, I work as a preschool teacher for a local school district. I have been working in a preschool setting for over 6 years and have been working with families as a nanny, babysitter and caregiver for over 15. I thrive on engaging children in a variety of activities, from outdoor adventures such as nature walks to creative pursuits such as building, painting and dramatic play. I believe in play based, child led environments. I love to observe, explore and facilitate children's development. I plan to transfer to Sonoma State and attain my bachelors degree in ECE. I am inspired by children and their development and love creating joy for the world around them as they grow. Some hobbies I enjoy in my free time include skating, outdoor hiking, dancing, skiing and going to explore the tide pools at the beach. In the past six years I have recently been apart of synchronized skating and theater on ice teams where I went to both national and international competitions. My background as a figure skater and dancer allows me to bring creativity and movement into my interactions with kids. Helping the younger generation of figure skaters on ice fueled my interest in working with young children. In addition to my teaching experiences off ice I have been a figure skating coach at Snoopy's home ice for over 5 years. I have taught a variety of on ice programs including toddlers on ice, group classes and school programs to a variety of youth ages!

Hi! My name is Natalie and am 25 years old. I'm an experienced babysitter with 10+ years of experience who has a passion for child care with a goal of becoming a pediatric nurse. I received my bachelor's of science in nursing this past May at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland and am currently finding occasional babysitting jobs as I study for my state board exam. I wanted to go into nursing because I have always enjoyed helping people. I have always enjoyed working with children, which is why I chose pediatric nursing and why I have always gravitated to childcare jobs. My mom and grandmother owned a daycare for 13 years of my life and I was a big help, so I have experience taking care of newborns all the way to teenagers. I have volunteered during the summer at many camps as a youth counselor. During the pandemic I worked through zoom to provide one on one care with children that needed homework assistance or just virtual playtime. I have worked as an after school instructor at my local elementary school, where I am currently working. My responsibilities have included driving to/from school and sport practices, crafts, bedtime routines, and tutoring. I can also clean, tidy up the house and run errands if needed. My main goal is to always make sure children are having fun in an educational way and providing a safe environment for them. I am a big fan of arts and crafts so I always carry crafts around me in case a fun little activity can be done. I also love pets and take care of them as well! I have had many hamsters, cats, dogs, chinchillas, etc...so I am fine with giving them my extra care. I am also bilingual and speak English and Spanish fluently, and wouldn’t mind giving a little Spanish lesson every now and then.
